Norman Posted June 13, 2021 Posted June 13, 2021 I surely won't bet on it. Duke ball in early English summer... Against the very best bowling attack that's tailor made for these conditions... And an attack that has two left arm seamers.. Going through a bad patch of form.. Pressure of an ICC final and captaincy.. Literally eveything is against him. It just cannot get any tougher for Kohli. Adamant, tweaker, nevada and 1 other 4
Ankit_sharma03 Posted June 13, 2021 Posted June 13, 2021 As a batsman he ll have a really tough challenge coz every new zeland bowler can test him big time so it will be relentless pressure on him over after over. His form hasnt been great either in last yr or so but he is a big player
vvvslaxman Posted June 13, 2021 Posted June 13, 2021 He is up against a top team. India will be a serious underdog here unlike the world cup where NZ was the underdog. If there is swing on offer who is likely to capitalize better. Obviously it will be NZ. Southee, Boult even the bench guy Matt Henry will be more dangerous. Add to the fact current Indian line up sucks against moving ball.

jf1gp_1 Posted June 14, 2021 Posted June 14, 2021 Like every Indian fan I really hope he does both as a player and captain. It would be fantastic to win first WTC, everyone remembers the first one. The problem with kohli is sometime he makes it so hard to defend his odd selections. I actually expect him to drop Ashwin and play one of thakur or sundar in final. sandeep 1
ShoonyaSifar Posted June 14, 2021 Posted June 14, 2021 Last two test matches of the England series were virtual knockouts for us. Kohli's score 0, 62, DNB, 27 and 0. The same old story of choking in ICC knockouts if he fails next week, should be stripped of captaincy. A captain should not be allowed to remain in position after 3 back to back ICC trophy exits. But as an Indian team fan, I am hoping he turns around his form and does well with the bat like he did on the last tour to England. sandeep and jf1gp_1 2
Lone Wolf Posted June 14, 2021 Posted June 14, 2021 Either he will fail badly & score under 15 or score something like 70-80 at his best. His concentration for long inns isn't there anymore. There are more chances of Rahane scoring a match winning ton than him.
Austin 3:!6 Posted June 14, 2021 Posted June 14, 2021 Its heat wave going on for a week here but forecast of rain exactly on game day

On the 2014 and 2018 tours, due to a wet summer, the pitches were damp even in July-Augusta and aided both seam and spin.

Its 25 degrees here in London which is very hot for northern hemisphere. Southampton is just 90 mins drive from my house, so the weather there also is pretty much same.

The same old story of choking in ICC knockouts tbh that 62 on that Chennai minefield was worth a century if not more. it has been one of his better innings in recent times.

On a fair pitch or a dry one, despite our top order and leadership problems, we will be an equal match for the Kiwis. On greentops, Kiwis will be outright favorites Austin 3:!6 1

Jay Posted June 14, 2021 Posted June 14, 2021 Does kohli even realise nobody likes him. People don't want him to be captain.
