Manju was never analytical. He passes mostly opinions.

Yes he is very good. I think just like cricketers, commentators should also move on and allow the next gen to come through. It is time we start seeing players from T20 era as commentators, who have played all 3 formats. DK was making a point about T20 technique in tests, which someone like Sanju manju or even Sunny cannot do.

for some reason he came across better over video conference when interacting with the Sky studio during the India series. think he's great in small doses. says absolutely too much. needs to just be dour now and then

Very impressive, has done a lot of homework about the Blast and the players. Not easy for a neutral commentator. Great insights on batting techniques. He will be popular among the Sky crew

Actually he is good addition in Ashes commentary. Ponting is the best among lot. DK,Atherton,Ricky,Naseer Hussain. What a commentary panel. Just enhances the experience while watching.

Don't think anyone in the commentary likes DK and his inputs. Many times, I have seen the awkward pauses when he tries to explain something. No one even agrees on his points whenever he makes one. SKY likes him though.

He was better last time. This time he has become captain obvious. Not the level Akram though who merely reads the scoreboard from time to time. But he shares the most obvious observations whic never needs to be explained. Sangakkara is top notch if you ignore his fake accent.
