I wonder why India is not better at Athletics and other games such as Swimming, they are always at loggerheads with China in those games which makes it impossible for them to win a lot of medals.

Because we mainly swim in ponds and beaches and they in proper swimming pools

Apart from kaur who qualified second  totally disappointing day for india.

Sindhu loss koi nai. She tried her best.

Pooja rani too was against the heavy fav.

See China these days in Swimming & those diving events.  They are too good.

We don't have the infra man neither enough funding.

I have big doubts if she can ever reach 2019 w championship standards ever. Hopefully yes but don’t know.

Yes that was akin to Aussies at their prime, clinical performance

She is the greatest talent in the history of women's badminton, as I said earlier she is like female badminton version of peak Federer. Marin is like Nadal.

Has weaknesses, sometimes she tries difficult, high risk shots instead of playing normally. Tries to put on a show instead of being clinical, hope that doesn't cost her in the final. She deserves gold.

Sindhu's H2H stats are deceiving. Too many of those losses in meaningless matches. Only 2 players I think really have an edge over her: Tai, Marin.

Yes..she lost her last 3 matches against the Japanese but beat her quite comfortably in the QF.

Gotta admire China's progress in Olympics, imagine if they had athletes from Taipei and HK just like GB, they would have been much better and won every single Olympics

Imagine if india had toygers, your people, Afghans, Sri Lankas, Indonesia.

We might win heaps of those non contact sport events.

Or maybe not because we would still lack infrastructure etc.

More like nole. Nole is the greatest. Marin could be Federer.

pre partition india would get same number of medals as current day india - cause the other south asian countries dont even win medals.
