vvvslaxman Posted August 27, 2021 Posted August 27, 2021 I am sure Root is getting there. Not sure about Kohli. raki05 1

Root is playing so so late and most runs are coming square or behind the wicket. You sound like some expert. Okay, can you tell me why Kohli scored nearly 600 runs last time he toured England while Root was failing horribly. Its just a matter of form, this same Joe Root was considered as a soft player who could just score a 50 odd, just one purple patch and now all his detractors are back to scratching his back. They will do the same after some time when Kohli comes back in form.

Kohli was lucky in that series. He was dropped of Anderson a lot . raki05 and Vijy 2

Kohlis faulire is like none other, neither sachin nor dravid went through such a bad patch in any period of their calendar. raki05 1

Actually every other ATG batsman had atleast one lean patch where they averaged in twenties or low thirties.

Worst Sachin had was 29 during his tennis elbow period (not counting year when he retired), apart from that sachin never averaged below 37 in any rolling 20 innings period. Dravids worse was 25 and then next 30. Kohlis current 20 innings is already below 21, far worse than either of them Vijy 1

Also Dravid batted in the noughties, it's probably the easiest era as far as pitches are concerned. That 25 is comparable to 21. Also why aren't you counting the final year? Were they on Pension or something? They were still playing for India, weren't they?

You are assuming that Kohli is receptive to what others have to say!! Have you not come across the loud mouth West Delhi/South Delhi stereotype? They literally know everything about everything and any advice (even in a professional setting when they pay for it) is viewed as a slight. Kohli is not the type to seek advice. So are you saying kohli will retire in an year? Sachins drop was because of the tennis elbow and dravids was beginning of the end of his careeer. And kohlis has been worse than both

And do you also put same kind of astrick mark against all batsmen's who scored against Indian bowling till 2016. Do you also discount all those centuries of Lara and Viv Richards against eng. Point is it doesn't matter whom we face because in their conditions even shitty bowlers can turn in to world beater. Classic example Axar patel can never give the performance what he has given during last eng series anywhere else other than india on those turning pitches now if some batsmen score century in India against axar you can't say oh it was axar. BTW why you do projecting wrong data. Sidebottom career avg--27 Tremlett--28 On current attack Overton avg---44 Sam Curran-35 how come this attack has better bowler. Also you have old sanile Anderson 39 year old he is not at all in his prime, any other team would deal with him with ease heck even Pakistani did not give so many wkt to him. So stop projecting this attack is some great attack what india is facing. You forgot Robinson 20 and Broad 27. Overton only playing first game Edited August 28, 2021 by rkt.india

Also if I am not wrong this is Robinson first series or second. So in rhis attack either inexperienced or near retirement home bowlers are playing this is not orine Anderson or broad. Prime Anderson india played only in 2011 and 2014. Just because india gifting this old man and newbies wkts in bulkload doesn't make them great bowlers. sage 1
SK_IH Posted August 28, 2021 Posted August 28, 2021 Looks like in terminal decline as a batsman, this is one of the most pedestrian half centuries I have seen him score. Apart from technical ineptness, his confidence as a batsman seems shattered. But obviously no one gonna raise a question about it raki05, Vijy, Lone Wolf and 1 other 4

Apart from Hoggard, others were inconsistent, prone to leak runs. Anderson and Broad just wouldn't give anything away Just because our sorry bunch get out like tailenders against Broad and Anderson doesn't mean they are God and don't create such impressions. They are great but definitely not unplayable. Sri lanka (2011,2014) Pakistan ,Australia, nzl and heck even Windies have shown how to play against them and won test matches comfortably. Effing younis khan ,misbah on crutches showed them their aukat by scoring big tons in 2016. Santa, mahela easily tackled peak Anderson, broad ,Smith, Clarke too . rtmohanlal Posted August 28, 2021 Posted August 28, 2021 no need of any Sachin here .... one's own minimum common sense is enough .... leave captaincy burden for ever and work hard on every aspects of batting moving forward.... but highly doubt this dumb ass has even an ounce of basic common sense. raki05 1
R!TTER Posted August 28, 2021 Posted August 28, 2021 He's beyond redemption now, if he loses this series his fall will be worse than this guy raki05 1
