No bio-secure bubble. There was a controlled bubble.

Yeah but jay shah had personally written to each player and staff asking them to avoid corwded places before ipl

Also according to rules, players needed ECB permission to attend crowded events after series started, which didnt take place

It takes 4-5 days for symptoms to show up. Say a player gets infected after 5 days. Then he gives it to another. Then that player mingles with his IPL team. It can be disaster

Kohli, pant, bumrah, etc are all major star players for their team and IPL draw.

Biggest fear is this physio might have already been infceted by day 3 and it takes 4 days incubation to show symptoms. Now he has worked with pujara and rohit and these two have shaked hands with all english players and support staff after end of the match..  even the england team might now be infected..gosh what a mess

Doesn't matter, ipl broadcasters will still have to pay the agreed amount to bcci, so the show will go on. Tbh I don't mind bumrah/shami getting some rest before wc

This shouldn’t go unpunished, England should be awarded this last test. Let these idiots feel the WTC points table heat. Even that might not be enough. We haven’t managed to get out unscathed through any of our last three tours. This is quite frankly embarrassing at this point. I dread what will happen come the t20WC

Exactly, England wont just accept a cancelled test lying down. They can claim indian team is trying to get cancelled with Covid positives with their irresponsible behaviour.

BCCI need to show some balls and sack the duo- yes wining a test is ok but you have to set an example and no one is above the rules.

Yes but its a major loss to investors and BCCI and wont go under the radar. Also if many players get infected they will need to cancel like last time, there is nonotjer option

BCCI will never compromise the IPL. They will probably direct all test players to hard quarantine, till all are clear, even if they miss a few matches.

They were flirting with danger in Australia.

IPL fiasco

SL tour fiasco

Now this fiasco, hat-trick

Zero discipline, zero intelligence, and most of them are with their young families including kids , BCCI went out of its way to accede to all their demands. Callous, selfish ingrates.

Recently there was a huge surge in covid cases in Tokyo, coincided with the Olympics (almost led to its cancellation), so many athletes in the Olympic village tested positive, but 120+ strong Indian contingent (plus extras like physios, coaches) managed to stay safe for 3-4 weeks, maintained discipline and followed all rules/guidelines. Sure the rules were more strict there but even in the Games village there was a covid surge and many medal favorites from countries like USA, Australia had to forfeit their events.

Our Tokyo athletes had to fight three wars (apart from going against world class sportspersons from 200 countries): covid, restriction on coaches/trainers/physios (check Vinesh Phogat's story), Olympics pressure. I mean how difficult is this for our cricketers?

That's a directive, not a mandate.

Don't we have a tour manager who handles these things? So what exactly is that person doing in all this? I doubt Indian players directly speak to ECB.

BCCI had given strict instructions about avoiding crowded places.

1) They needed ECBs permission to attend such events which they didnt. ECB said they didn't receive any requests

2) Jay Shah had personally written to each team member and staff and asked them to avoid crowded places before the series considering they had IPL after this

Then they are responsible.

2 days anyways would have been washout and this would have been a draw. Now england will Prepare a green mamba in manchester next yr with archer wood stone robinson anderson broad woakes all fit.. and pope malan root Bairstow buttler back in form after county championship matches..

Why should England be penalized for negligence of Indian team. England should be awarded the match and all the WTC points

I think getting permission isn't the job of players
