What an irresponsible bunch of buffoons. They have young families traveling with them but have shown no respect to guidelines attending unapproved crowded events. England may have relaxed covid rules but these guys are intelligent enough (or maybe not) to read about rising cases. Embarassing to see the teams both in England and in Sri Lanka being so irresponsible. No lessons learnt from the IPL fiasco.

There were no rules to break.

BCCI had given strict instructions about avoiding crowded places.

1) They needed ECBs permission to attend such events which they didnt. ECB said they didn't receive any requests

2) Jay Shah had personally written to each team member and staff and asked them to avoid crowded places before the series considering they had IPL after this

they've been there for 3 months and attended everything from the football WC to Wimby. I guess by now they're not at that level of paranoia they might have been when they arrived in England.

Surely Kohli PR won't be able to spin this fiasco in his favor.

Surely this is the end of Kohli's captaincy in all formats.

Surely Shastri needs to be fired right away.

LOL, don't underestimate his Bollywood PR. They will portray them as 'patients' who need our love and affection. #GetWellSoon

Once IPL starts everything will be forgotten.

BCCI was more worried about IPL being affected, what they do before series start is no concern as there was enough time to isolate (like pants case) and it didn't put test or IPL at risk. But once series started, its another story

Tour to be cancelled as per latest reports!!!! Bcci wont risk 3000 crores.. so it ll be an one off test next year like the wtc.. and india will

be blown away without any match practice

Yup, if it happens next year we'll have no momentum, no match practice, no mental edge, Stokes and Archer may be back while we may be without services of some of our best players. Likely to be WTC F repeat.

Chance of a historic series win, now in tatters because of Kohli and Shastri. These 2 have been a net negative for Indian team, absolutely useless.

It won't. People didn't get affected in IPL bio bubble. BCCI will go through the IPL even without our test players.

It takes 4-5 days for symptoms to show up. Say a player gets infected after 5 days. Then he gives it to another. Then that player mingles with his IPL team before he tests posutive. . It can be a  disaster

Kohli, pant, bumrah, rohit, etc are all major star players for their team and IPL draw.  What will IPL be without them, even if it's only in initial matches
