The Realist Posted September 10, 2021 Posted September 10, 2021 It’s anything goes in England at the moment, for everyone except Indian cricketers, who are apparently bound to higher standards by their obligation to what, exactly, the ECB’s bottom line and our entertainment? India have been on tour here for four months now, and have been subjected to similar sorts of stresses and pressures that led the England team to cancel their own tour of South Africa last year. In that case it was a pair of hotel workers who tested positive, in this one it was a physio, who had face-to-face contact with the players while he has been treating them in the last few days. And since those matches were postponed, and not forfeited, you would think it should be the same this time, especially since the game is already being rescheduled. Unless the ECB really want to maintain that it should be one rule for them and another for everyone else. Which would be difficult, given that they are, of course, currently in the middle of their own negotiations with Cricket Australia about whether they can persuade the Australian government to show a little flexibility with the rules to help protect the mental health of their own players during the Ashes tour this winter. If you really want to know who to be angry at for all this, it’s not the players, it’s not the coaches, for once, it’s not the administrators. It’s the virus. And shouting about it doesn’t seem to make much difference. https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2021/sep/10/england-india-cricket-test-blame-game express bowling 1
DeepSpace Posted September 10, 2021 Posted September 10, 2021 Having this in 2022 is so lame. There will be no continuity. Cancel the IPL, stay in England and finish the series. And then cut Bewda’s laoda off! AuxiliA 1
Nikola Posted September 10, 2021 Posted September 10, 2021 ECB should give BCCI time to play test match before year ends. If they fail to do so then consider the last match as forfeit and series as drawn.

No Vaccination can prevent this untill the number of case will be ZERO. Those who are facing mental health issue in bubble can stay at home. This is next level *ery.. Credit to Cricket Australia who managed to host us last year.. Australia hardly had any cases.

rkt.india Posted September 10, 2021 Posted September 10, 2021 5 hours ago, BacktoCricaddict said: Not surprising at all, if they are all vaccinated. First, the players are all likely fully vaccinated. Vaccinated people have only 1/8 the chance of getting infected compared to unvaccinated people. Second, the physio was likely fully vaccinated. If a vaccinated person is infected, their viral load is the same as unvaccinateds for 1-2 days but then drops whereas it rises in unvaccinateds. So, vaccinateds are much less likely to transmit the virus. Anecdotally: Two weeks ago I worked closely for 4 hours in a barn (harvesting and processing field crops) with a guy who had just returned from vacation travels. No one knew his vaccination status. Dude was sniffling a bit, but he thought it was just dust allergy. The barn was semi-ventilated, it was a hot day, and doing physical labor with masks on was not feasible. So, we were unmasked the whole time. That evening, dude fell sick, got a positive test. Four of us (all vaccinated) who worked with him were notified that he was Covid-positive and unvaccinated. All of us got tested and came out negative. So, if Dude had taken his vaccine, he would have dodged Covid during his travels. This is exactly why the best way to minimize transmission is for most of us to get vaccinated. But, kaun kisko samjhaayega? Shastri was found positive on 5th, Physio on 9th. Both were fully vaccinated. High chances players turn positive in 3-4 days time since they had contact with physio. Sgattick10 1

mishra Posted September 11, 2021 Posted September 11, 2021 (edited) So it was Brat who was most scared to take field. Looks like if he wasn’t in squad, match would have gone ahead. Now it begs the question, why is it allways him screwing us? Edited September 11, 2021 by mishra SandeepMotta 1
