Finally some clarity!

India will go in leading 2-1

Stokes and Archer will be back.

Venue shifted from Old Trafford to Edgebaston

not good

Still better than a 2-2 forfeiture

But yeah, they should have thought about the scheduling before itself. We could have easily have easily finished the test after retesting 4-5 days later if not for the IPL.

We'll most likely be rusty and England would have already played a home series by then. Golden opportunity gone begging I'm afraid.

or the Test could have been preponed but wasnt done due to the Hundred. We spent a month there doing nothing.

Both parties are at fault.

Advantage England specially if Andu is still there

If andu retires, we will win.

It was fun to read delusional comments where BCCI, which had agreed to play the test, was going to support Kohli and Rohit to make Ind win the test series by not playing the last test

India has never won in Edgbaston I think..  Hopefully we get some sort of preparation before that.

Never won three tests in a SENA test series since 3-1 Victory in NZ in friggin 60's

England cleverly shifted the venue to Edgbaston after making huge noise that Old Trafford is going to incur irreparable loses and blah blah. Birmingham is their fortress and the challenge only got bigger for India now.

Yeah I was heartbroken that day.  Stokes delivered the killer blows.  Pandya & DK showed the world they are not test standard.  We gift wrapped them that game & chance to end some 25 odd year old unbeaten run of England at the venue.

Australia & Smith in next Ashes did manage to breach the fortress.

Kiwis also won the test match here this year.

Happy that justice is done. Not happy as I had mentioned earlier that team Ind potentially lost the opportunity to win a rare series in Eng because of likes of Rohit & Kohli.  PS on second thoughts, glad that the teams that they captained did not win IPL too this time.

The gap in the middle of the series would've been there regardless of the hundred, it's completely normal to have a rest week during a 5 match test series.

the mid series rest was already there.

I am talking of start of series

Winning (or losing) by playing good cricket on field is fine with me. Not ok with “running away”.

We should have won in edgbaston if we had restricted curran. Also hahane and karthik scored zilch chasing.. it was in our bag that match in 2018. We lost by mere 31 runs. Ashwin played really well

Why exactly should the English summer have been compressed any further than it already is

Why exactly should England get the cake & eat it too? Eng were minting SL & Pak this year, WI & Pak (with Oz?) last year as well.  So why does the nation that plays more tests, at home, each year than any other country also be allowed to squeeze in their selfish demands at the expense of Indian fans?
