Why are young people in their 30s and 40s dying of heart attacks? Is it because gym and working out, lifting weights is bad for heart? Or is protein powder, causing heart damage? Or are they taking Steroids? Or is it because of Non-Veg diet which is causing heart and health problems? Or if they were vaccinated, is it because of that?

I know first hand of a few such heart attack death cases of regular people. They had nothing to do with steroids and died years before Corona was discovered.

One guy died at the age of 27 due to heart attack. He was working in IT in Bombay and it seems had a very stressful job.

Case 2 - guy was working in Switzerland, in IT. Late 30s to early 40s. Complained of chest pain one day and gone within hours. He was a very good cricket player in school and quite fit.

Case 3 - passed away in his mid 40s. He had rapid heart beat on and off for a couple of days, which he ignored. On the third day, he and his wife were out driving and he told her to take over driving as he was feeling rapid heartbeat again. When he revealed to her that this had happened for a couple of days, she immediately started driving to a hospital but by the time they got there, he had a massive heart attack and was gone before even he could be wheeled in. Mid 40s, fit, regular cyclist.

Case 4 - late 30s man. His dad was running a small scale industry and had a sudden death. This guy inherited the responsibility and did it for a few years. Then one day heart attack struck and he was gone.

Case 5 - the most recent case is early 40s. He was heavily diabetic but due to the long,. irregular hours and travel involved in his sales job, he barely kept up with scheduled medicine and dietary intake. Played cards with friends one night, gone by the morning. His kid tried to wake him up in the morning but he didnt move, and had blood coming through his nose. Heart attack in his sleep was the cause. A government mandated test was done to determine if the cause of death was corona, which it wasn't.

So what could be the reason for heart attacks at such young ages? Before, heart conditions used to be the disease of the elderly unless you were born with a heart defect. Now even healthy individuals are suddenly getting attacks?

How was he as an actor compared to his father ?

His father Rajkumar was a legendary actor mostly coming from a drama style acting like SivajiGanesan or ANR and was a great singer too, films where stories and performances were key. Puneet is a decent mainstream hero, of the modern era with fights, dances, and not much of acting needed for these stars.

Here's a fresh WhatsApp forward that might answer the question. I think pushing oneself too hard, as if still in the 20s, is not good.

Dr Devi Shetty

For all my friends....

In the last few years, I have lost at least 8 to 9 people known to me personally, and a few celebrities too, who were in their 40s who died because of doing too much to be "fit". Unfortunately they only looked fit, six packs and all. Today Puneeth Rajkumar gets added to this list.

In anything in life, MODERATION is the mantra. Any extreme of zero or 100 is not correct. A moderate amount of exercise, just about 20mins, eating everything, no detoxification or keto moto diets, just eat what your ancestors have been eating, the local and seasonal food in your hometown, not kale, kiwi or olive oil..., but in small quantities, sleeping a full 7 hours, respecting your body by not feeding it steroids, performance enhancement drugs are all that you need to do.

Just eat all that you ate growing up, in small quantities, exercise for 20mins to 30mins...just a good walk should do perfectly and stop all supplements....if you drink, limit it to a couple of pegs a week, if you absolutely can't give up smoking, a couple a day .. .you get my drift??? Anything but in moderation. Add a bit of silent meditation to your routine. Most importantly, listen to your body. Understand it.

By 40 the body is undergoing a lot of changes, 50 even more, 60 plus your body is starting to slow down, 70 plus, your body is starting to shut down, 80 plus every year is a bonus. So, stop saying 60 is the new 40, 50 is the new 30...no it isn't, if you are 40 or 50 plus, be grateful if you're healthy, slow down so your heart can keep pace, understand retirement has been suggested for a reason, your body and mind cannot take the stress which you once endured. Outwardly you could be looking good, thank your genes but inside, the organs are aging.

If you're 40 + read the above and if you're doing something other than the above, change it, now!! I'm sure you don't want to end up as another statistic.

Never saw his films, but yesterday I watched Yuvarathna in Amazon prime. Typical Kannada mass masala film and his acting was decent.

I saw some of his interviews and he almost seemed to be apologetic about the movies that he was making. Seems to be someone stuck with the star tag, unable to experiment. Apparently his next film was with a young maverick director and an experimental film. Too bad he couldn't start his second innings.

He started PRK productions to produce parallel cinemas and produced some good movies like kavaludaari and French biriyani.. Wanted to produce some good movies as he was not able to act in it due to stardom.

Sad his life ended so early..
