how is Kohli speaking out about religious hate aimed at one of his players a problem on the pitch?

He is not the only one  ...many others came to Shami's support and much earlier than Rat. Unfortunately his PR is turning it into some kind of heroic rescue of shami from kohli to bypass questions about the shambolic perform of the team.

Apparently this guy who effs up every icc tournament is a grand leader for making a statement ...a statement that was made by alnost all decent humans.

There are also reports that most of the troll  posts originated from padosi land.

Fact is kohli has lost his reflexes and aggression, whether it's due to anushka, veganism or wokeism should not be concerning to cricket fans but only his performance.

the way to address this is for him to direct is ire at the social media platforms, and threaten a player boycott of twitter unless they weed out hate speech. a few footballers have done this.

i think Kohli's intervention was case of better late than never, whatever his motives.

Wonder how "woke" south africa, which even dropped de kock last minute, and is so full of useless quota players according to whiners here, is doing so much better than india and almost qualified for semis

Almost like winning and losing is to di with cricket and not your political beliefs

Our fans have same loq iq as pakistani fans

Kohli played his cards judiciously. He knew his “end” is coming as captain.

He took the opportunity to project himself as “activist”…

Now if BCCI kicks him out of captaincy in various formats, fingers will be pointed at BCCI for targeting Kohli when he was standing with Shami…

The whole Shami saga is manufactured to offset the Kashmiris & some Momins celebrating Pak win, in various parts of India…

Kohli is now part of Cricko-Bolly network which is at loggerheads with the ruling BJP .

The Indian festivals related preachings too are part of this agenda.

This may not be far from the truth

SA,WI who support blm or quotas are "right wingers" not woke.

Yes, yes the classic white supremist logic of - doing anything for equality is the real racism you guys. Do you have a SINGLE idea of your own which you dont get from US right wing racist forums? At this point you are just copy pasting what they come up with (and things debunked a million times)

Multiple teams are doing this kneeling gesture, are they all doing this because they are retiring?

At this point you guys are just coming across as unhinged.

come on, admit it, you hate the gesture because your white GOP racist masters in the US hate it and have told you what to do

You all have this thought because you are bigoted losers. To you no one can support a person of different religion. Because you are bigoted selfish people, anyone taking a stand for anything must be for vested interest. You have become so selfish and self centered, you cannot fathom basic human decency

Seeing once decent people being so mentally affected, there is no hope for this country at all

People are so brainwashed they think supporting someone or making a gesture somehow has to be selfish.

this is the biggest side effect of a right wing populist government, the country and its thinking has gone back to the stone ages. People have become against basic common gestures for humanity. Country has been set back decades and might never recover now.

BLM found impetus this generation  because of all the incidents were white cops allegedly bullying and using their power to undermine black folk.

In India we have the opposite problem where officers can’t do their job because every guy is connected to someone or the other. You don’t even have to be SRK son.

Had this been about covid pandemic or so many other social causes no one would care. The drama sorrounding the knee etc looked very forceful. Charity has to come from the heart, not because of your paycheque or image.

You realize that no one is against the idea of inclusivity  or eliminating discrimination right? It’s the whole drama and semantics of this that is becoming a distraction which is the real problem.

@New guy the very fact that you can’t put your argument across  without using words like racist, bigot without even hearing the other argument which was devoid of any such harsh words clearly proves  a point.

BCCI is woke, BLM & quotas are right wing, anyone against taking the knee is a facist.

That's just the stories from this page, wonder what else is being produced earlier. Man this poor run has made us fans of lahori logic.

I don’t care if he supports BLM or other campaigns. BTW BLM gesture was enforced by the boards and not the captains.

My only issue with him and his partner has always been too much preaching to Hindus only on their festivals. Every festival in this World is not perfect. If he and his partner are do passionate about various issues, they should start preaching on all festivals of various religion.. Be my guest abd ive no issues with it. But the moment you try to be a smart arse and only preach Hindus on all of their festivals, I’ve the right to criticise you and cancel you.
