Will Afghanistan beat New Zealand?

I just checked bookie odds and they give Afghanistan a 32% shot of winning which I think is high. Unfortunately we won by too big a margin and overtook Afghanistan on NRR so they will have to try to not only win but recoup that margin against NZ which might make them throw it away even more.

I don't think Afg are looking to qualify anyway (it's my belief). I think they will want to win and close on a high. That is all India needs.

hope they do. and then we win. like 36ao wont even be the best comeback of the year :phehe:

I feel India are finally in shape and becoming to look like a solid, unstoppable force. Shame we can only use these powers on Namibia

If they have a target of 150 in say 16 overs and don't try that then think of all the fixing accusations

The Pak posters are here for fun. I am sure they will be back making stupid comments about Ind not qualifying in case NZ beat Afg or that we fixed the game if the result goes our way. These are mostly for trolling because they are in cloud nine with their team's performance.

When the dream crashes at some point, they will come back to earth.

Hope Afghanistan wins and India sneaks in to SF, that would renewed interest in the WC.

I have somewhat lost interest and I know quite a few who have stopped watching this WC. It has been boring to watch anyway. Except for a couple of close games, there has been virtually nothing exciting about it.

On form, a big fat no.

But then we have always had at least one test playing nation losing to a minnow side (with due respect to Afghanistan) in ICC Trophies. Who knows it could be NZ's turn this time unless our padosis suddenly decide to lose to Scotland or we choke vs Namibia.

One good thing you is day games at Abu Dhabi have been far more tricky to bat, that brings Afghanistan spinners into the game.

Anything can happen but NZ is not unpredictable like Pakistan nor choker like SA. At best they can give fight but beating NZ is very far fetched..All you guy have been star-sportsed. Watching useless matches of NZ-Namibia and now this thanks to this NRR nonsense propagated by Experts. I get it if it was NZ vs non minnow but this is big "IF".

If Mujeeb is fit, I feel game over for NZ

Word is that he is fit to play. Another thing going for Afg is that it is a day game.

Man to man though, NZ is a better side and is a big favorite to win.

It is not favoring AFG as toss advantage (no dew) is more or less out of equation. The game is about managing pressure.

Day game gives no dew advantage to NZ which brings in Mujeeb and Rashid into the scheme of things. Still NZ are big favorites to claim this game.
