Australia was unbeaten in Gabba for 4 decades. India with half of its side injured went onto beat them and won the series. Not once but 2 back to back series wins in Australia. So the reactions after that win was kind of warranted IMO.

I'm not comparing how difficult the two are from a cricketing PoV. 

I've never seen a test match. I can't comment on that.

 

The comparison is to happiness on achieving what hitherto has been seen as nigh impossible.

What about the shami episode? A few fake accounts invoking shami's religion on twitter is not the same as waqar showing his inner bigotry and Hindu hate on national television, how about aaqib and co mocking Hindu gods and our religious customs again on a cricket show? T20 series was drawn...  They won the ODI series though in 2012.  Pakistani pace attack was good in that series.  Thala played a blinder in one of the games.  One of his ATG inns.

Hype is mostly created by Indian media (primarily) and then some indian cricketers (sehwag, harbhajan), the reaction from Pakistani fans and media is caused by that. Out of numerous Indian campaigns, one that I can remember "Anay do" is one example, then mauqa mauqa, etc.

 

And yes, as someone above said, in past decade or so, our record is so poor that we will savor anything we will get (and to be honest, I think it is fair), so add that to it. However I am not backing any of the toxic/religious remarks made by anyone, specially WAQAR.. not sure what he was high on..

 

Lastly, the remarks made by our politicians.. even we don't take them seriously.. don't you think Pakistan would've been a better state if they were any good?

India winning is not an aberration against Pak anymore. Pak winning still is. 

 

I still believe India's loss to Pak was a fluke result. Most days, India would wallop this Pak team.
