It has nothing to do with toss and dew. Pakistan would have beaten OZ had they held on to the catches. India deserved to lose because it was pathetic in all accounts. Toss is just excuse for pathetic performance. If you keep clinging on to catch excuse then for your information Australia dropped catches too. You wouldn't have score what you scored had Australia hold onto their catches. Then Warner was not out. You had all the luck except toss. And boy oh boy toss is the boss. kirkutfan and mishra 1 1

But Pakistan paid the price for dropped catches and poor fielding. As for fools, there are some fools who still believe that minnow team can become favourite for the next world cup that is yet to beat non-minnow. Not to mention, emasculated by so-called pathetic team so fools are living in fools’ worlds. The same dropped catch by Smith and Warner would not have chased soo many and would have been a severe thrash You cannot have both ways You lost the toss and lost against a non minnow team You won the toss and won against non minnow teams You can start as fav when you win against non minnow team not depending on toss

Won all the matches and lost only the match that happened to be knock out whereas New Zealand and Australia entered into final despite losing one match and one of them lost to Pakistan. It happens. It is game. South Africa was best team in WC T20 2009 but yet got disqualified from wc by losing the only match that happened to be against Pakistan in semi final who got to final by getting lucky whereas Australia was lucky one for a change despite looking like they were about to lose to Pakistan. This time Pakistan team has shown consistency throughout the tournament. Unpredictable is no longer card now since Pakistan will start as favourite in next WC t20 because of their performance in this World Cup. Champion Trophy different case. We didn’t start off to the great but came back strong from impossible situation. Whereas this World Cup; Pakistan looked world class from the get-go and lost only match that disqualified Pakistan from the wc. So it is part of life and that is gsme for you. You should add a disclaimer to cushion for reality check that could come. 1) Tournament is in UAE. 2) Pakistan never defended in the tournament yet. So toss is crucial. 3) This was T20. Not always best indicator of trend and sustainable talent. WI won T20 WC. Didn’t change much. For Pakistan I suspect, it could be same. The structure is not there for sustained success. But yes. I think Pakistan cricket should feel proud of the boys. But I think the way you guys have behaved in this tournament, I dare say it was more like Bangladeshi fans. Even worse when one considers ex cricketers. You might not understand this now but there will be consequences. New guy, asterix and maniac 1 2
Mohan Swamy Posted November 12, 2021 Posted November 12, 2021 (edited) These blokes are visibly upset but their analysis is pretty good. I agree with them on 2 points: 1. Babar and Rizwan are too slow. Pak scored only 28 runs during over numbers 7 to 11 after getting 47 in the powerplay. Who slows down to this extent after a decent start? 2. Lassan Ali is being made the scapegoat for dropping a catch, thereby providing Shaheen Afridi an easy escape route. Nobody is questioning the three sixes that followed that dropped catch. https://youtu.be/2QybF-m68jo Edited November 12, 2021 by Mohan Swamy

Teams have seen and will olan nxt time they face. Warner walked out else game would have been done and dusted in 17th over itself. You lost it despite good luck Edited November 12, 2021 by mishra asterix 1
prudent_kreeda Posted November 12, 2021 Posted November 12, 2021 while so much is made out about dropped catch , look at other pluses Pak had but yet failed to cash in . 1. They should have never got 176 but 150+ . 2 Silly no balls by Aussies nearly cost them > 18 runs . and also some sloppy stuff. So nearly 20 runs gifted. 2. Warner when totally dominating just walked off when not out. 3. atleast couple of run out chances . 2. 2 Catches were also dropped by Aus.

Pakistan was horrible in Australia in 2019. UAE played into their hands. I see a first round exit. Agree on conditions not suiting them, but with a much more seinsble batting line-up Pakistan shouldn't collapse like they have in the past. As always Pakistan will bring a decent bowling attack and have chances. If there's one thing EVERYONE should have learnt by now, it's that T20 levels out teams more than any other format. 11 months out or 1 month out, I wouldn't pick out any favourites because quite simple this format is too volatile. Pakistan might get knocked out early, but they could go on to win it. In fact they've been pretty consistent in these World T20s over the years so a SF might be a safe bet. They were unusually composed. They had a clear batting game plan. Granted that the conditions favour them and they depend on Top 2.

coffee_rules Posted November 12, 2021 Author Posted November 12, 2021 (edited) Nobody talked about how slow Rizwan and Babar batted first 10 overs - 71 runs. They called it zabardast mashallah batting karri! Imaad ki pithai, Hafeez ki choking, so many run-outs missed, bas sab log - Hasan Ali , Hasan Ali ko dho rahen hain When we lose, sabko dho daalte hain - to,mo,lo batting, bowlers, fast and spin.. and finally blame it all on IPL.
