India only played two relevant games in the whole T20 - Pakistan and NZ - Warmup games and Games again Afghanistan/Scotland and the third team doesn't even count. Pakistan batted first today and scored 170+ against a potent Aussie attack - Why didn't India do so? India was struggling quite poorly against NZ and Pakistan - only two teams which they had a relevant match against. India played quite poorly in the tournament when it mattered and their approach was quite timid Australian bowling today was absolute rubbish

But the question here is the Indian batting against Pakistan bowling and How Aussies batted against them
Khota Posted November 12, 2021 Posted November 12, 2021 People are forgetting that India had a pathetic attack for bowling. In the first two games they went with two bowlers and 4 pretenders The worst bowling attack in the tournament.
TheWall Posted November 12, 2021 Posted November 12, 2021 The downfall began when superstars refused to play the 5th test and chose IPL.
Try_Ball Posted November 12, 2021 Author Posted November 12, 2021 Australia's grit and resilience is respect worthy. These guy's just show no quit. Of all the talent that India supposedly has, What's the worth of that if the Indian superstars cannot show intent and apply themselves and carry non-performers in the team Jay 1

Reason why these sooperstars never get dropped is cause they have a huge fan following. They put butts on seats like the mentally stunted peasants they are. Edited November 12, 2021 by Jay

ravishingravi Posted November 12, 2021 Posted November 12, 2021 I would say the scary part is Australia played real bad yesterday and still won. They did everything possible to lose. The part that I liked yesterday’s game from Australia was counter attack after 1st over. It also showed how important it is to have left and right combination.

I'm not sure if you followed the IPL, but everyone and her uncle knew that Kohli is a pathetic captain and totally out of touch. The IPL re-confirmed that a semi fit H Pandya, an out of form Kohli, Ro Sha, Shami and Bhuvi had no place in this T20 WC squad. Yet they were all picked. Doubt this would be a fan picked side. Its more a side of captain with his own set of cliques. Our failure didn't come as a revelation. It was evident for a while now. To repeat the same experiment multiple times and expect a better result is the hall mark of insanity.
the don Posted November 12, 2021 Posted November 12, 2021 Don't rate the australian side in these conditions but they have a better spinner and more powerful hitters than India. Indian team did not impress at all this tournament. Norman 1
bones Posted November 12, 2021 Posted November 12, 2021 Australia won the toss in a tournament where the toss is basically an extra 2 players for your team. Not excusing India's horror show in their first 2 games, but clearly India would have done better chasing but well enough to win is another matter. People need to stop with hyperbole on T20 matches, this format is completely volatile. The best team doesn't always win, in fact rarely does the best team win in T20 WCs. Can you ever say the same about any Test series? Even in 50 over cricket, the best team doesn't always win but it happens more often than not. kruiser 1

He was able to utilise his star power to remain captain without any accountability. Fans need to cut down on this grovelling behaviour towards so called star players.
putrevus Posted November 12, 2021 Posted November 12, 2021 This is most useless T20 worldcup we have seen. Toss is determining the result in most matches. Op stop making India into a piss poor team. It is not a poor team , it just had poor results and scheduling did not help them either. To some morons who think that there is no accountability need to get their heads examined.

kubrickian Posted November 12, 2021 Posted November 12, 2021 Something like 18 out of last 19 games had been won by teams chasing in that ground. If you think batting second doesnt guarantee a win, you are basically an idiot.
neel roy Posted November 12, 2021 Posted November 12, 2021 14 hours ago, Jay said: lmao india would have chased this down easily. not once did india get an opportunity to chase. INdia has problems when they bat first. Not sure about what target to set. Fatigue from IPl played a major role in our defeats early against paksitan and new zealand. Honestly india dont seem to even care about t20s. Why would they? TOO much IPL mullah. We need to ensure only young hungry players get opportunities to play in t20 WCs in the future. Oldies like ro ko dont seem to be interested and their style of play doesnt translate well. Its not india. Every team including England stutters while batting first. India won one toss in the 5 match t20 series in march, made England bat and then swatted them away like a fly with kishan thumping them. Thats the advantage of batting second in t20.. you know the target u know when to accelerate when to take risk who to target and what the pitch is like. Compare this to the team Batting firt.. they have to suss the pitch identify a target think about dew and then accelerate .. lots of variables.. Jay 1
