Economy of Uttar Pradesh is rapidly growing towards $300b. Yogi and current BJP leadership are eyeing for $1T economy for the most populous state in few years. Modi encouraged local state leadership to create a healthy competition with other Indian states for growth.

I was reading something and this tweet came across. The prospects are very bright.

Very interesting article on investments and unemployment.

Quote

Uttar Pradesh has received proposals of 66k Crore investment since pandemic. ....

Microsoft, MAQ Software, Pepsico are setting up their units at 2866 Crore.

If topic is related to UP but not directly or indirectly relating to economy then discuss it somewhere else. Let us discuss objectively without abuses.

Mr. Nair explains the reality.

How is this video related to thread?

1. The guy opens the video by pretending as if he is going to present lot of data and facts.

2. Next he mentions lot of index scores which have been calculated by some non-profit organization.

3. No mention of how these scores have been calculated.

4. No facts or actual data in video.

5. Scoring has been done for parameters like equity, sustainability, education, healthcare.

6. No explanation of the scores, he is just reading numbers from PDF that is published on website.

How all these things are related to this thread? Even if we assume that these scores are well researched, it should be different topic altogether.

UP will be the largest economy in India by next 5-7 years. Probably $1Trn by 2030 if not before.

Its not a surprise. Fertile land. Huge population and young demography. The biggest infrastructure spend across the country. With rising connectivity and supply chain shifts, UP will be very attractive destination in coming days.

Not to mention religious tourism that is going to grow exponentially. Varanasi and Ayodhya.

Proof of another jumla as you can clearly see, no poors, middle class or common people are allowed on this express way. Only Ambanis and Adanis and rich people allowed here.

None of our previous generations ever witnessed the progress from foundation stone to inauguration in 3 years time. 340km of 6-lane expressway completed and dedicated to the people of UP. A 3.2km airstrip built to support in defense requirement is cherry on top.

3 years prior to that (2015 to 2018) Akhilesh govt sat on it since announcement.

That is the whataboutery bit.

How come UP, a state ruled by BJP can do so well. They are not suppose to do well. It fails the entire narrative of blaming the govt for price rise, employment etc etc. So to balance it out, lets put out a random video about Kerala, a state ruled by left, to show they are doing very well too. As you rightly said it has no relevance to this thread but agenda to agenda hai bhai.

Kerala for long has been the last saviour for BJP haters. Let it be going gaga over Shashi Tharoor's english or Kerala model. Its pretty much like what Brahmastra was for Arjuna which he only used as a last resort in Mahabharata battle. When Kerala is injected into any debate, it pretty much means they have lost the debate and just clutching the straws.
