Boy that's some list.  That too on bigger boundaries.  Kishan has surely taken his game to the next level.  Hopefully Indian selectors don't think of him as a keeping option only.  He can come in as a pure specialist bat in T20 cricket.

Rahul

Rohit/Mayank

Samson

Kohli

Kishan

Pandya

That's a top class Top 6 & ready to compete with likes of England.

Usually free flowing players. Either will play a high strike inning (and great entertainment + optimal use of middle overs) or get out of the way so others have enough balls to make an impact ... a win-win for India!

If these two maintain form, there are hopes for India winning a world cup sometime in near future!

Whenever SDP is in early, he usually plays a good knock. Examples includes 87 v Pak in CT, 2 90s in Aus, and of course was also MoS v Aus in a series in India

Add to that a test 100 in SL and a 90 odd in tough SA conditions!

Yeah, at this point, the next World Cup in Aus, which would suit both the batsmen even more.

let's see. I am expecting at least or both of them to be injured at that time. neither of them have robust bodies or fitness, and add to that BCCI's huge overloading and horrible man-management skills

Yes Australia, India, West Indies, s.africa, even England all suit our batsmen.

New zeland pitches and conditions are the worst for our batting and u.a.e in short formats.

I am 100% sure our test team would thrive un u.a.e.

We struggle when our batting needs to generate power to execute shots. We thrive when ball comes onto bat at pace. I am surprised pakistan has done well on these pitches considering their lack of power hitting tbh.

Pandya should first take care of his fitness. If he isn't bowling, he isn't good enough batsman to play at no 4. He can improve though. Let's see. As of now he is a minnow basher.

Just this year, he was top scorer for us in ODIs in Australia batting at 4-5. So, he can perfectly play as a batsman in the middle order. No need to label him if he can't bowl regularly, find someone else. It's not like we have a line if middle order batsmen.

Let them do something of that sort vs New Zealand. Against NZ, they bat at same position but bat like tortoise.

Against NZ, they batted at 5-6. Kishan Rahul opened. Rohit 3, Kohli 4.

Yes but they did come with same number of overs remaining. What did they do? Batted like tortoise that game.
