I agree with only 2 of these 5 examples you gave :

2. Umesh Yadav travelled a lot with the team for 3 4 years, it's only fair that he gets a chance ahead of Siraj.

They played with just 2 specialist pacers in the 2nd test at Lord's in 2018. Umesh Yadav was dropped as he disappointed in the 1st test.

Siraj could easily have been the 3rd pacer in that test.

3.That was the SCG pitch where Kuldeep took a fifer, that's why Kohli preferred a spinner ahead of him, victories in SENA are very important, can't risk it.

Again only 2 pacers were played.

3 pacers + the 2 spinners that played including Kuldeep, was possible.

Again Umesh was dropped after he bowled without intensity at Perth.

Again Siraj could have been the 3rd pacer.

** It is very unnatural for India these days

to play just 2 pacers at SENA

4. We played our top 3 seamers bcoz it was a WTC match and our pacers needed some match practice bcoz that was the last test series before NZ tour.

Siraj as the 5th bowler behind Ashwin, Jaddu, Shami and Umesh  ( those 4 could by themselves win tests in India in 2019 without any further help )  was possible in atleast 1 of the 2 tests vs a rather weak Bangladesh team in a home series.

To give this wonderful wicket taker at A-level a chance and to build bench strength to cover for the rather frequent injuries to pacers.

all of what you wrote is very true, but it calls for planning, foresight and maturity. three words that are alien to selectors and TM and the "great" kaptaan

No. 1 ranked team annihilated by 375 runs.

The highest margin of victory for India.

This guy is setting some new benchmarks.

remember that the meek Rahane wasn't able to remove NZ's tailenders on day 5 in India, the side led by Kohli demolished England at Oval inside one and a half session.

I am big fan of you, anushka ma'am. :icflove:

36 AO,biggest embarrassment for any Asian Kaptaan

Leaves

We win the same series by beating Australia at their fortress, can't imagine that to happen with Clown being Chief

The most conical thing was right after the Gabba win, Shastri said it's Kohli's team and his vision which has taken us here:hysterical:

And then the clown Sridhar telling Ashwin how Kohli was strategically planning every move from 5000 miles away in Mumbai!

Never ever seen anyone so desperate for attention.

If India can win the SA series, Kohli's coronation as GOAT will be official.

Rahane has got a good head on his shoulders, but he is just too inconsistent as a batsman. He also doesn't give a lot of confidence when he is at the crease. So how does he inspire? by just making bowling changes?

Kohli has made some mistakes in team selections, DRS reviews etc..But then we all make mistakes and move on isnt it?

Kohli also gets a lot of flak, just because he is a lot more expressive than others, which is not fair imo

Lets back him, and I am sure he will continue to raise the bar for test cricket for India

If he does not score any runs in SA series, I don't think he should be allowed to continue as captain or even as a player. You cannot go missing as a batsman for two years and still expect to be the captain.

We cannot afford to have captains like Lee germon, Mike Brearely, Tim Paine with such a thin batting line up and one-dimensional players. He can be Clive Lloyd, Alan Border, Mark taylor for all i care. As long as he doesn't contribute with bat he has no place in the side as a player let alone captain.

Spot on , you cannot have a dummy captain who does nothing with bat. Is this guy on a permanent decline and can never be a good batsman again.Last time he looked good was in first innings in Adelaide befor he got runout.I have not seen him bat well since then. You cannot continue with him if he does not score runs in SA.
