ash Posted January 8, 2022 Posted January 8, 2022 Kohli should not be dropped. He just had one bad year, you cannot drop someone for having a bad phase, even the great SRT had that. We need to back him. Pujara and Rahane have to go for sure. Chakdephatte 1

putrevus Posted January 8, 2022 Posted January 8, 2022 Dravid is 100 % right, once you change from senior players you are done with him.Youngster have to wait for their turn.Glad coaches are not thinking like some geniuses here.
putrevus Posted January 8, 2022 Posted January 8, 2022 Noone is saying peep about Rahul as he did something in last two series. Before Rahul was a flop show for over two years.

AKane Posted January 9, 2022 Posted January 9, 2022 Somebody needs to take on Rabada - hit him out of his strutting like Rahane did to Mitchell Johnson long long ago. That Rahane is long gone - but can the new heroes like the peerless KL or the magnificent Mayank or the Hanuma do it? Pant or his replacement if any?
Jay Posted January 9, 2022 Posted January 9, 2022 Problem is our bowling is not as fit as before at the moment due to bubble fatigue. We have been travelling non stop. Arm chair quarterbacks need to factor that in. We play more tests abroad and at home compared. To other top sides. We need to see a fully fit and firing bumrah shami umesh, shardul and siraj.

Only Indian coaches unable to take bold decision , SENA coaches care about seniority only up to a certain limit, not like this.

Jay Posted January 9, 2022 Posted January 9, 2022 (edited) This is not a government job rofl where experience actually helps in a way. This is sports. Can't apply the same analogy here. Sports need immediate impact from fresh, motivated and in form players. If the old facts cant produce results they need to be dropped. Go work in a corporate or government job if you want to cling on to your title. This paindu dravid needs to be dropped asap. he is worse than shastri. Edited January 9, 2022 by Jay nitinbwj 1

raki05 Posted January 9, 2022 Posted January 9, 2022 We are going to loose sa series and onus is on trimurti and another orthodox coach. This was the easiest chance to defeat sa, but we will happy be happy with 2-1 defeat mediocrity. SRT100 1

What will they do if the new comers don't perform, guy like Shaw looked over matched. Will youkeep looking for new players over and over again. Gill and Shaw's failures/injuries have given Rahul new lease. You phase out one player at a time,I would have phased out Rahane and not taken him to SA.Rahane to me was always useless, all he ever did was play one knock per series and kept his place. Shaw failed in one pink ball Test where everyone else failed in 2nd dig too. Why was he dropped after one Test whereas these guys have been sucking for two years? Gill did well in Gabba and still has better numbers than trinity since 2021 If anything talented youngsters deserve bigger rope as they are touring for first time and still learning. Seniors have no excuse being this inconsistent after all the experience. Laxman and Dravid retired after same series. We were fine Chakdephatte, SRT100, BacktoCricaddict and 4 others 2 5

I agree Kohli should keep playing for now. Its because of other two that his failures get magnified as it hurts our chances. rollingstoned 1

We were fine What I have noticed about Indian cricket from afar is that it appears that the BCCI/TM like to reward senior players with home series opportunities to improve their records, instead of affording it to the kids and using that as a platform to play them in SENA. Kids need to be played when the team is winning so they get used to a winning culture. express bowling 1

We were fine All trinity averaged more than Gill after 10 tests and scored multiple 100s. So what it shows is all of them were more talented than Gill? Laxman and Dravid played over 130 and 160 tests when they retired. Nobody is saying talented youngsters should not get chances,But I would not drop guy like Pujara for Gill yet. Rahane is different story. He should have be gone by now. Gill, Shaw are openers, they are not competing with Pujara and Rahane for spots. Iyer is and I would have played Iyer in place of Rahane.
