How many Indians would walk into a World XI T20 team. (current form)

A fully fit Pandya would make the squad at least.  He has a better 'rep' on the player circuit than he does on this forum tbh.

But you're right - apart from Boom, we don't have a lot of 'best in class' players.  However, if you make a list of 'top 3 choices' for each slot, you'd probably fail to exclude any Indian from all the slots.

Nothing wrong with Kela Rahul's form.He makes it. Sky can be there depending on other options, Pooran might be better.

Yes. I omitted because of his "new" approach of consolidating. He is capable. Don't doubt his skills.

India has to change their approach to attacking cricket from ball one. It took a long time for India to crack code for 300 in odis but once they cracked it they reached it more than any other team. For that they need guys who could start hammering from ball one.

Rahul or Rohit will not work with their slow start approach.

  1. Butler
  2. KL
  3. Rishabh pant
  4. Bairstrow
  5. Moeen Ali
  6. Livingstone
  7. Rashid Khan
  8. Hasaranga
  9. Archer
  10. Shaheen Afridi
  11. Bumrah

This wud be  my current t20 XI

TBH dnt give much value to form in t20, it can change very quickly in this format . Neways hard to keep a tab with so much franchise cricket . If u go by form ull have adjust even stat padder like babar

I prefer a good combination n mix of diff kind of players

not even close to consideration?  That's way offbase.

Who is there? As per your point a fully fit Pandya. He is not better than Stokes.Stokes would walk into any team in all formats.

rahul would be there if not for his temperament issues.

Has a lot of issues. Mental, temperament, body language, sycophantic etc.

My world t20;

Buttler

Bairstow Keeper bat

Ali

Stokes

Livingstone

Dre russel

Mitch Marsh

Rashid khan

Hazlewood

Bumrah

Lockie

One Indian. But for reserves I would have the mythical fully fit paaaandi as backup for Stokes

For lockie backup would be starc

For hazlewood - replacement shaheen

Hasaranga for rash

stokes has done nothing in international t20 , absolutely nothing

If anything his over costed them 2016 Wc

Wont look at avg coz of the position he bats in but s/r of 134 is very poor for his batting position

Maybe Maxwell then

Bumrah & SKY only...  Two successful players for us at T20I level.  Rahul also has a shot but we don't know which Rahul.

Warner (clutch + destructive)

Bairstow (best white ball opener)

Marsh

SKY

Livingstone

Buttler

Moeen

Hasaranga

Archer

Shaheen

Bumrah

Left armer...  I like Shaheen as a bowler in T20. Bowls good yorker & swings the new ball.  If it was ODI Hazelwood all the way.

Yea fair enough. Would be interested to see your ideal World 11 for Indian conditions. Because Next WC is in India.

I would go with:

Warner

Qdk

Rohitaa but questionable tbh. He is old.

Root

Stokes

Buttler

Jadeja

Moeen

Hasaranga

Bumrah/prasidh/archer take your pick

Hazlewood. (He is in every LOI team for me)
