Blessing in disguise. Ashwin should never play any Tests outside subcontinent. Dropping him and going with Jadeja and Thakur on the England tour was one of the best captaincy decision Kohli ever took.

Wish we start grooming Axar and Sundar for overseas tests.

India should have finished this series last year on a high note...will be really difficult to put up with this English side which has the momentum. I don't expect anything special from this Indian side which has players saturated by IPL, injuries , captaincy change, lack of batting depth and lack of match practice all going against. England will have to play really bad to make a contest out of this IMO.

They created a charade last time just to get some rest before the IPL. Now it is coming back to bite them. But i don't think they care.

I am glad England is in gun form. We can consolve ourselves saying "We lost to a better side" lol

If they play trundlers like the ones they played I don't think England can even beat this version of india who is unprepared.

If wood woakes and ollie is back then yes.

Best time to beat India for England. India is not in form, players are injured and we have selection issues.

However India is looking to pick bumrah prasidh shami and thakur. Jaddu will be back to hit the trundlers. Remember what he did to starc and hazelt4undler in Australia once the pitch flattened.

If India picks the best side it beats England quite easily.

India struggle against these trundlers only. Have literally stopped counting the number of times we have thrown out wickets to the trundlers who keep bowling at outside offstump channel.

We generally do well vs high pace and spin.

This is the type of lousy cowardise i have come to hate in ICF. Follow and support your team lol. India has every chance to do well.

Yea that's true but last time we hit those same trundlers lol. Ollie woakes Anderson and wood. We actually beat a full strength England team. Only missing stokes. Lees is mediocre.

It is possible they were just following orders to get out of England ASAP. For the people running the show, IPL is the highest in the pecking order and the golden goose.

Wood is pace there and I think Woakes played only one game. Anderson was the best bowler in that series.

England should fill their team with trundlers and then compete against us, may stand a better chance.

Englands tail is looking longer than I remember it in some time. If they go in with the same team that they are playing against Nzl that will also be something to keep in mind. They have generally not been a dominant team at home as much as one which is very hard to beat with atg new ball bowlers in helpful conditions and weak batting but with good depth that get them to good totals. Players like Woakes, Ali, Rashid, Overton, Curran etc.

No woakes

No overton

No ollie

No wood

These guys all played vs us. Woakes played 2 games I think. Overton got creamed by umesh and broke his arm. That was fun to see the racist prick get violated a bit.

If India play at their best this should be easy.

Jadeja is that extra batsman. He averages 45 in last 3 years with 2 100s and 10 50s!!

Average in SENA? Or leave it, anyways Jadeja can pick wickets in 4th inning and now we have Vihari also to bowl off spin. Would Vihari off spin do it? But Jadeja is a left hander also.

Can we play an extra batsman since this is traditionally a seamers track.

We need assurance for our brittle batting.

Rohit
Gill

Pujara
Kohli
Iyer

Vihari
Pant
Thakur
Bumrah

Shami
Siraj

Jadeja is a better batter than Iyer in challenging conditions. His bowling is just an added bonus. He's one of our MVPs in SENA tests. No point in playing an extra "specialist batter" just for the sake of it.
