Surya kumar Yadav is a national treasure

The end is nigh as he seems to be in irreversible decline, but I thank him for his service and contributions, the most notable of which is the catch in the T20 WC final. For someone who got his first international cap in his 30s, he has had a very good run, achieving the #1 rank in batting, winning the WC and captaining the side. None of these seemed possible a few years ago as he seemed destined to end up without ever getting selected to the National team.

This one.  The catch that ended our 11 yr long ICC title drought. (Despite him failing in that Final match with the bat, as expected).  He will be remembered 4ever for that catch.  Nothing else to show for, in his career.  BCCI jokers made him play one test as well.  No wonder he barely last 10 balls in both innings.

That's pretty shameful. If all you've to show for contribution over the years and multiple years and tourneys is a catch, that says it all. Not one game-changing innings and no-show against better teams. All he can do is score cheap runs in bi-laterals against 2nd XI bowling attacks. Cometh big matches or better bowlers you see SKY fail as usual.

But it was mostly Rohit show. SKY has never been the main guy in a big match. At max he plays a supporting role but mostly he fails just like in the final.

Washed up.

Any serious team would have moved on rather than stubbornly back a 36 year old as captain.

WIthin short period he signed up a lot of sponsors.  Probably 3 year contract or something? So they have to keep him in the action even he plays beautifully only in the nets

This clown stirred up the 'no handshake' drama as a diversion tactic due to poor form. He has been the worst batsman in T20Is this year, even associate teams won't pick such a useless guy.
