One format batsman who doesn't perform in even one format. People were raving about his SR and ranking in IPL forum when I mentioned about how useless he is. I get it that ODI wc and this is different but the mindset and talent matters. This guy has no shots other than hacking on leg side behind the wicket. Abd was 360 player but he was complete package, this guy is tailender when you don't feed ball him in that area, Cummins n Co already exposed this guy's batting ability on 19/11. Hacking away on Mumbai pattas is different thing, and as far as International t20 hundreds are concerned, even Rohit-KLR have 100s but those 2 are useless in wt20 and so is Sky. The guy should be booted out after this tournament ends.

Rinku Singh averages 55 in FCC and 49 in List A after playing 47 and 57 games respectively.

 

This is not run of the mill stuff.

 

Plus he has a cool head on his shoulders and can play under pressure. This is a big quality that so many people ignore  ( unless the player is a sooperstar like Dhoni ). Probably the reason why we don't win enough cups.

Now people are hyping Rinku Singh as if he is better than SKY at IPL and FC level.

I also thought the same about SKY when he was lighting up IPL. But unfortunately international matches are different kettle of fish.SKY is living example just like DK who has simply failed under even slightest pressure.

 

SKY had better domestic cricket resume atleast in whiteball cricket than Rinku Singh plus he has shown his brilliance in international matches also.

 

I was one of few people who wanted SKY to be in 50 over world cup too.

 

I am not saying Rinku Singh is not going to do well but other than finishing he does not add much value to the team.He should have been here instead of Chahal in this world cup too.

 

Let's hold horses on him.He is a add on player who might be needed maybe once in five matches.
