yes thats the difference, every player is coming out n saying this. Recently DK also said it

Kohli-Shastri era was very toxic for youngsters even for seniors , players were dropped even after performances forget bad ones. Post that phase Rohit sharma captaincy will be the best thing to get over that turbulent period . Remeber even after chappell era their was this phase where Shastri- lalchand rajput and one more guys whose name im forgetting made that tension go away

yes he judges them and backs them

Kohli use to judge them right but doubted his own judgement after few failures. He lacked patience , he thought he broke the door to get in XI so everyone can but forgot every player isnt same

Pandya's issue is fitness. Might be too much workload for him.

 

Pant is only other option. Hope he learns from Rohit.

he ll have to choose format and u may even see him bowling less or slower speeds 

Pant-KL both look absolute mess as captain , iyer looks better then whom but wont have a long career 

 

Ur either an inborn leader or not . I have a feeling shaw can be the next guy

Kohli used to suck upto MSD though even though he was passed his best. They did the same with Rahane-Pujara.

So I dont think Shastr-Kohli era was toxic for seniors...it was performing juniors they were reluctant to give chance.

 

They kept young Rahul out for matches after matches, did the same for Pant as well.

He needed MSD too and TBH pant performances even post MS left started coming late in LOI 

Rahane-pujara didnt have good replacements , next in line iyer and vihari have struggled overseas and we somehow all know they wont last long in test 

 

• Senior for eg Dk he was dropped after Nidhas, exact next game he didnt play
• Even Rahane was dropped in ODI after performing in SA series although he shudnt have been their in 1st place but still 2 wrongs dont make one right
• Bhuvi was preffered over shami in ODI, whereas shami was always better in ODI
• If they were planning to back rayudu for an year they gave up on him last minute again he wasnt good but question is didnt they knew it before

Bit too late. Rohit should have been made limited overs captain after 2015 worldcup. Kohli should have been the captain in test cricket.

BCCI selectors don’t believe in split captaincy. Pandya is not Test material, hence Pant or KL is preferred. When they are not available, Pandya is chosen this year, because of his IPL win.

Workload without playing  one format? We played very less ODIs last 2 years and he plays T20s and IPL. He can cut IPL if he has too much workload!

Isn't this Bandya who picked Kohli over Sachin or smth.While Kohli was captain.
