So what?

What's your definition of pace? Speed guns readings? His 135 his faster than most's 142.

Oh please!

Maybe. Compare to the options we have. Who else with 2+ IPL seasons has more variations.

Your fault then. Everyone have good series bad series. If selectors like him, there's nothing I can do. Stop quoting me for no reason.

Lol at 135 nd 142 . On counting he has not bowler more than 10-15 balls on the aforementioned speed. BTW why you are getting triggered and why you quote others or is it you create threads and quote yourself only. it's a public forum and if you justify Avesh like selection you ll be quoted.

we cant play both Pant and Karthik now with Kohli back.i think this will change for the WC because Kohli will fail so badly that the selectors will finally drop him from T20 altogether.

Bhuvi Avesh jadeja Ashwin what else Pakistani needs its a dream bowling juggernaut for pakistanibto feast on. They ll start with 90 mph fast bowlers and inspite of all ipl showoff we will be serving trundlers.

This is what the issue is, the selectors are stubborn, once they circle a player they carry on picking him until he gets injured and replaced, when was the last time a pacer was picked on potential not his ipl record that to on a few decent seasons? They don't like digging deeper, incredible how umran got discarded after one game, different parameters for different players, I doubt guys like tyagi, Kuldeep Sen, Mohsin will ever be considered.

so its going to be a tossup between DK & Pant? if DK is picked entire lineup would be right handers till Jadeja.

they have taken that give enough chances to player thing very seriously.. there is no chance for a new player to get picked on recent performances..Umran is even lucky to get a game

Avesh is such a third class bowler. How many series this trundler needs more. He has been thrashed around in all those matches and still got selected, even old man Shami is much better than this useless trundler. He ll loose some matches at crucial juncture. Dravid and Selectors are completely gone mad.

This is the issue. If Avesh achieved something then I can understand backing him. He has been rank mediocre. Backing Siraj or Shami is still ok as we know they can be deadly. Avesh has not been deadly in any of the matches. There is  no mystery no yourker no bounce no menance in his bowling..

As said old man Shami, Siraj or Krishna anyone is 1000 time better than Trundler Giant Avesh who supposedly bowl at 135-142..:hysterical: which hardly get captured on speed gun while he grunts.

I think they have made their mind that Avesh will be handful in Australia,so they are backing him like anything

But that's a wrong bet

I am only talking about last few series... Go check his bowling....what manageble, if you are justifying his position based on overall economy rate ,Why do you need selectors, captain and coach , ci stats data should use for selection. In last 3-4 series which he played other than one match where he was forced man of the match i have only seen him carted around mercilessly. Doesn't have any swing, variation, pace, zip plain stupid trundling. Not sure where is the exaggeration other than him being part of Indian team.

He is consistently over 10 without completi g his quota, still gets selected

Exactly. That's what I am highlighting, i always want to endorsed young talent selection , like Arshdeep in T20 and he lived up to expectation so far he has swing and can nail Yorker at death over also he uses his brains with limitations what he has. But with Avesh i dint see a single aspect in his bowling so far which demands for continuous selection. Just because he performed in 2 ipl doesn't warrant him a place, Umesh, Siraj and mohsin(just 1 ipl) have performed much better than him , ipl solely or stats should not be only criteria for selection  you should also see what someone offer as an bowler. If stats should be criteria Vinay koomar was still running riots in domestic why he was not given continuos chance in test cricket like Avesh in t20.

Avesh is more annoying because of the 120kph ball which comes from a 150kph grunt.

Else he could have been forgiven.

Pace attack doesn't look good for Asia cup, even Bhuvi would be ineffective, UAE doesn't offer much swing.

Avesh has slowed down and is not looking at his peak when he was bowling 135 to 148K ...not sure why is he getting so much of backing now.

Prasidh may be a better option if selectors want a bounce bowler for australia. i agree india does require a bounce bowler in australia.

he bowled a few around 144-145 this series as well...............they all landed in stands coz it was poor lengths

he bowled good yorkers that they didnt find it easy and he bowled slot balls (missing yorkers)  they ended stands

So its length not pace.............if u bowl poor length even at 154 it doesnt matter coz it land in stands

Avesh is the perfect example of an Indian pace bowler.

Grunts like an elephant bowls like a Squirrel.

Indian bowlers are the best in thebworld. Indian batsmen are the worst in the world.

In which world are you living?

Coz the last time I saw our bowlers couldn't defend targets in 4th innings in tests, couldn't take wkts in powerplay in odis.

It has been happening world around, batting 4th has become relativily easy

That doesn't make our bowling outfit weak,or is it?

By the way, aren't Bumrah,Siraj,Umesh,Shami or even Umran perfect Indian? ,what did you mean with" perfect"Indian bowlers?i know you're a packy slave, still can show some gentility

If you detest Indians so much, what are you doing on this forum?

Yea last couple of tests we performed bad. If the trend continues then yes we won't be the best.

Australia lost multiple times after posting big scores in 4th innings.

Kiwis lost it too.

Literally every away side has suffered in 4th innings as englund and other chewtiya teams design pitches to flatter over 5days into a pancake.

Otherwise fodder players like lees, boldstow would never be able to score. It's a joke.

But yea great teams need to find a way to win. India's bowling wasn't the issue. It was poor batting which capitulated to easily in every 3rs innings by scoring under par scores that cost us. 350 on flat isn't safe. Aussies lost to us in gabba scoring 350 too.

We actually won away unlike these coward teams.
