How many “dressing down” is he going to give (and that too to players who are actually winning Ind, and his IPL team, something)? Why not just move away from this format?

Tuk Tuk neither has the guts nor the skills to bat in the middle order. Lines up to bat in the top 3 (now doing mainly a pinch hitter role where top bowlers tend to get him in no time)  …

 

“Template” stuff looks like typical drama … Already making a mess out of a low hanging fruit like Asia Cup.

 

PS Anyways I am in Paris so no time to follow this loser led side in Asia Cup but I knew that Pak would beat India.

If Pant wants to play that shot more power to him. He might want to keep in along the ground vs in the air while reverse sweeping.

Rohit has every right to pull up Pant and Pandya as their dismissals turned the tide. Even Surya's wicket for that matter.

The middle order fished up, after what was arguably our best start against Pak in T20s.

Pant was egregious. He thought he is having a fun game and did not show responsibility. Pandya was pathetic.

the problem with Pant's shot was he wasn't middling much conventional shots. why would you want to play a shot like that when you are not able to read the bowler?

 

Surya's shot was fine, he found the fielder. It wasn't a nothing shot like Pant or HP.

I agree with this assessment. We played a very casual game. Our players were playing for the gallery. Trying irresponsible shots. Dropping easy catches.

We also picked a 2nd string bowling attack. That shows how seriously our players take the India Pak rivalry these days.

That's a welcome change in mindset.
