BCCI to insist on neutral venue for 2023 Asia Cup scheduled to be held in Pakistan

All the noise is only to soothe the easily fooled egos of greenbros. PCB has no way to afford pulling out of ACC or any other silly threat.

Ramiz might say I'd start Ashes series with Eng/Aus and greenbros might pass out of exhaustion clapping hands. Easily led.

That's all fair but this ACC head Jay Shah scheduled 2 matches (and could have been 3) in Asia cup between India and Pakistan.

Why should we play them even in ICC events or Asia cups. If we need to forgo some points in these events, so be it.

The boycott should be permanent, not convenient.

Every WC draw is rigged to have an India - Pak match and it has become highly annoying.  it's all about raking in the moolah . We shouldn't be playing against them at all.

Yes, draw should be based on normal seeding of teams

Appears as if ICC is keeping IND-PAK and AUS-ENG in one group

The MAIN culprit in this case though is that unnamed BCCI official who leaked to the media that India may go to Pak to play Asia cup etc.

No one was expecting India to go there, but expectation was set and now it may become a big incident.

Ramiz has to react aggressively to save face with the huge pressure from fans/ex-players/media.

None of this would have happened if not for that unnamed BCCI official.

I'd say name that unnamed person & take strong action, an international incident affecting many nations (SL, Bang, Afg) may arise out of this because of 1 man's foolishness.

Another question - was the "unnamed BCCI official" a media creation?

I know media can hardly be trusted but this is too farfetched for it be of their own making.

Pak will come because our politicians only care about stealing money unlike your politicians playing jingoism

Not sure why your people hate Hindus and want indian land. You will face dire challenges if you stay on the path as a nation. Sad for your people, seem to be good folks otherwise.

Yes, mixed feelings about this really. I really loved 2004 & 2006 series when we went there. All our cricketers got love and admiration from their crowd. Pakistani crowd going crazy for Balaji &  Musharraf praising Dhoni after his great match winning knock were such memorable incidents. I have no doubt with good security arrangements our cricketers specially Kohli and Rohit will love it.

But then you see this country hosted Dawood Ibrahim for decades and immediate thought is if they hate us so much we shouldn't even bother having an embassy there.

India Pakistan game in every icc tournament is getting annoying. Every time one team wins it spoils the tournament for the second team as psychologically it is very difficult for a team to pick themselves after losing that match.

India and Pakistan might be able to go far in the tournament if this match is not forced upon them every icc tournament.

Kulbushan Yadav was also found in Balochistan doing his activities. If there is any hate trust me it's mutual and as a nation and race it's small of us not to be able to solve our issues.

greenbros love to trumpet this silly propaganda, when the fact remains that he was an agent sent to gather info and at worst distribute money.  And by the way, the details of his capture are very murky, and many folks point to him being kidnapped in Iran.  Whatever the case may be, and even assuming the worst case about this one "agent", this is in no way comparable to literally, hundreds upon hundreds of actual murders of innocent Indian civilians - men, women, children, by Islamic terrorists sent over and supplied by Pakistani state.  Since the 1990s.  My neighbor's dad lost an arm in the Bombay bombings in the early 1990s.  And that's just one example.  The ratio of terrorism related events in India vs Pakistan is greater than 10,000 to 1 - and that's not even an exaggeration.

Yes, its "small" of us to not be able to solve our issues - its ridiculous.  Just a generation or 2 ago, we were one nation, and forget about that, we are still neighbors and cousins, just the same way India and Nepal are, or India and Bangladesh are.  There is absolutely no reason why issues can't be solved. Except for the simple fact that you lot don't have independence (azaadi), and the ones whose boots under which you exist, only have the unbridled power over your country because they perpetuate enmity and hostility between our 2 countries.  I don't even need to tell you this - you already know it.   We may have different opinions about what "should" have happened with Kashmir with regards to Ind/Pak, but even the most brainwashed greenbro knows that Indian government has repeatedly offered to convert LoC to border way back in the 1971, even after crushing the "lumber one army" in absolute defeat.

But foolish, bigoted tribalism has led your nation, its "leadership", and its public, happily be slaves of the Chinese communists who despise you, and let them use you as a pawn in their competition against us.  There is no depth to which your jernails won't stoop to, as long as they can keep the hindu-hate against India flowing, so that they can keep looting you morons.

As far as "hate" goes - its definitely not mutual - I don't hate pakistanis, I pity them.  Eking out a miserable existence in a corrupt nation-state, dysfunctional society, smoking up that drug of hindu and India hate, parroting away empty slogans of "fascism" against India.  And guess what, millions and millions of Indians feel the same way - either pity, or total indifference - nobody really cares about Pakistan as long as the terrorism is kept in check, and we get to see our sports teams - cricket and beyond - bash you.  Beyond that, if you think you are "hated", that's just a fake level of self-importance.  To be blunt, Pakistan simply isn't important enough to "hate" beyond terrorism and cricket.

Lol pakistani behead their own Hindus in their wombs, rape and convert Hindu girls. They have no parallel in the world in cruelty. Trust you my arse. Like I said if pakistan continues on this vein they will face existential crisis on their own.

Could not have put it better. Pakistanis want false equivalence and victimhood in everything. Such cognitive dissonance means they are evolving to be something different that Indian people totally.

How do we know if at all there was a 'BCCI official' or not. That story looked media cooked.

Musharraf is the asshole behind the Kargil war. Of course he will praise Dhoni or whichever Indian player and display "wholesome" behavior. Act nice but do nasty stuff behind the scenes. It is possible that a good chunk of the population of that country don't hate India and would rather focus on improving their own lives. But their leadership supports cross border terrorism openly and we cannot have any relations with such a country. We should do a proper boycott of Pak matches like the Congress government used to do against Israel. We even forfeited a Davis Cup quarterfinal or semifinal against them. This bs of pretended cross border bonhomie and frequent cricket matches in parallel with terrorist massacre of innocents has to stop. And even amidst this friendly facade, snakes like Waqar jizz at the sight of namaz in front of Hindus, openly showing their true colours.

With a proper Ceasefire in place at the LoC one can wonder why they don't wanna tour.

Pak will host it in UAE & still make money out of Indo-Pak clash.. Except the gate money which in this case is peanuts.

Either they should completely boycott this.. So that Pak doesn't make a penny out of it.  Host a Tri series at home instead.

This is proper case of 2024 elections & nobody would like to get grilled before that.

Modi's 2014 blunder comes to mind & that dreaded Lahore trip & within days we got Pathankot air base attack...  And then ISI trip.

Such a event now would lead to complete destruction of ruling party in the country & ofc they would not risk it.
