Eng, the most resilient team of the four semi-finalists (T20WC22)

Resource Management

  • Plagued by multiple injuries issues to its key players - Archer out, Topley out, Bairstow out, and so on (injury scare to Malan too)
  • Hampered by weather in many of the games
  • Last 2 group games were virtual knockouts -> say pre- quarter finals and quarter finals

Somehow the team manages to find a way ... Let's hope that the knockout is where its best form is showcased ... If Eng plays to its potential, it can become unstoppable!

BOL!!

While they are definitely a very good team, haven't played clinical cricket in the tournament except their match vs Newzealand.

Will still take an out of skin performance from us to beat them.

In 2021, it peaked early and crashed out in KOs ... In 2022, it could peak late and go on to win the tournament

It is now that Eng will have to start playing its best or near its best ... A positive is that it has probably gotten used to the do or die atmosphere

Eng should not worry about injuries, pitch, toss, etc., but focus on playing good cricket at Adelaide.

Whatever combination it plays (maybe forced due to injuries), it will have its set of pros, where if 6-7 players do well, the team would likely be through to the final!

Meanwhile back in England , no one knows there is even a World Cup going on .. I kinda feel sorry for England , like talented kid getting ignored by the parents all the time ..

football is more fun for them.

They are the weakest of the four teams. If India plays to its potential, mark it down as an easy "W".
