Test Wicket Keeper for Australia Tests

I would pick kishan or Bharath.  As much as I'm a fan of Samson's potential, he doesn't deserver a test punt.

Kishan doesn’t has the game for tests his poking outside off worries me. Although we would get a lefty. I prefer bharat been on a tours and has solid technique I remember he score runs in tough conditions but current TM being cowards they will select Kishan.

I think Sanju Samson is good choice for wicket keeping for upcoming India vs Australia test series in February.  he is very good batsman and also good wicket keeper.

He is not a serial dropper. There's just extra scrutiny over anyone not named Dhoni.

Bharat has been the keeper for India A for so long, what’s the point of picking him in the A team if he isn’t second in line after Pant?

Ishan Kishen should play, on his best day he could be a Pant as long his keeping is okay.They should have realeased from odi squad if they never intended him to play.

 

 

Others looks too  meek and their current form  is also not inspiring. You cannot have a defensive wk like Saha against Aussies.

There will be two wk s in the squad anyways. So KS Bharat and IK both will be part of the squad. The first two tests Bharat will play certainly and if he flops IK will come in from 3rd test.

samson keeping for 5 days on turning wickets? He doesn't even keep for Kerala in Ranji.

 

I love Samson and want to see him get 10-12 back to back ODIs as a proper run - but test cricket - he is not good enough to be 'keeper.

Life isn't "fair".  If Indian team's chances of winning a test match or a series are better with Kishan replacing Pant ahead of Bharath - even its a 65-35 sort of call, you make that call.  

 

This isn't a line at the greasy punjabi buffet where next man up gets the chance for paneer makhni.  Selection to the Indian team needs to be clear-headed. 

 

Of course, you do want a degree of fairness so that the fringe players feel that they can continue to invest their hard work in return of a shot - but ultimately its the strongest XI that gets picked.

Ks bharat hands down needs to keep . Kishan as backup keeper . Only scenario where kishan comes in is if we needs a left handed bat . Aussie has off spinner as main bowler and axar - jadeja are enough . Gill - Rohit , in form kohli , pujara on domestic pitches against spin , Ayer / jadeja bharat axar ashwin Shami siraj yadav with umran as 12 th man , unadkat as 13 th , sundar as 14 th and kuldeep as 15 th , kishan as 17 th and  a fast bowling allrounder at 18 like lord thakur give a strong team .
