Vk1
for how long are we going to ignore him.. no media support- cricinfo asansols don't care.. ex-cricketers ignoring him.. I have not seen a lot of his innings but getting the same feeling now that I used to get when SKY was not picked in 2018-20.. the way selectors are picking there seems to be lot of influence-favoritism/bias from Dravid/Rohit in picking players.. is there a nexus between superstars? don't pick a guy coz he can become too big and eat our share of ads.. Vk1
SKY becoming star player is inspite of all this and definitely not due to this TM.. they always seem to persist with non-superstar players like Dhawan, Rahane, Pujara etc.. players with limited ceiling Mosher and express bowling 2 Link to comment

vvvslaxman
This has become political. I see some disgusting comments like "don't make it a muslim team" on social media. eulbninem 1 Link to comment
Adamant
The same thing was said in Dhoni regime, the same was said in Kohli regime and history again repeats itself, Rohit is also being blamed for stopping players as they can become to big and snatch their ad business. The laughworthy thing here is that even Dravid is being blamed? Usko kitne ads milte hain? That guy isn't even there on social media. Edited January 17 by Adamant cricspirit 1 Link to comment
RedFever
It may have to do with the regional selection policy. Already have Rohit, Shreyas, SKY from Mumbai, with Prthivi Shaw being selected for T20. Seems like they cant have more than 4 players from Mumbai in the squad. Under_Score 1 Link to comment
singhprakash72
What is shocking is the current top order Indian batsmen have been struggling during this time (at least last 2 years) in tests. If you take out Pant (technically a wk) there is absolutely no consistent batsman and the same old combination of KL, Kohli, Rahane and Pujara was been used during this time. If not for Ashwin, Jadeja, Washington, Shardul and Pant it would have been an carnage not only in Aus, Eng, SA but also in Bangladesh. What was so great about these maharathis that a youngster could not have been given a chance to play ? So makes no sense what this retard selection committee is been thinking along with their so called think tank. The same garbage they continued in T20 selection so I will be not surprised if Sarfaraz is sidelined till he reaches 30s before he leaves in frustration. Bigg Brother
It's manhoos KLR..Take him out and you will make a place in squad. Guy is blocking Sky/Kishan in ODIs and upcoming youngsters in tests at the age of 30 with utterly mediocre record and manhoos shakal. eulbninem, Sean Bradley and vvvslaxman 1 2 Link to comment
Gollum
Players like Sarfaraz, Sundar, Kuldeep should try shifting base to England. Link to comment
AuxiliA
Getting in our test team is a lot tougher than ODIs and T20Is. Only ones he can replace in the XI are Kohli and Shreyas. Can't risk him as an opener on debut against Aus. Link to comment

All his runs have been down the order,so play him at 6 and drop a bowler or drop virat and play him at 4,or pick him in odis or t20s as part time keeper but then that will be called format illiteracy. Pujara even with bangla bullying on a road averaging 30 in the last 3 years. Then we have this Hahul who couldn't even survive against Bangladesh. Vk1, Number, SRT100 and 1 other 1 3 Link to comment

He's a test legend himself (especially at home and vs Aus) and can't be dropped right now. Only spots in the XI for Sarfaraz is that of Kohli and Shreyas. Kohli isn't going anywhere and Shreyas is in good form. Agree that Rahul shouldn't be anywhere near the test team. But the opening slots are still locked by Rohit(c) and Gill. express bowling
Watched him bat yesterday and he has almost all the strokes in the book. Tackled the pace and bounce of Harshit with aplomb and dominated the swing bowlers and spinners too. Plus he is a natural stroke player. Not picking him is a mistake. Its sad that India actually has a strong Test XI that can beat Australia but yet will not field it. I have zero faith in any of our remaining batsmen to conquer the Australian bowlers. express bowling 1 Link to comment
deepdynamo
Sarfaraz time will come in next WTC cycle 23-25 . The first series is Vs WI away in July and should be the right series to blood in Sarfaraz at No.5/6. SRT100 1 Link to comment
