U neways cant play 5 bowlers in t20 and that too in such heat. Its t20 someone will have a bad day 

6 bowling options are must in LOI and 5 in test. 

Even if we play 5 geniune bowlers one can still have an off day , its t20 and belter wkts

He just won the previous match . Our bowling options and relying on his bowling is key. His bouncers worked in the previous pitch. But with even bounce the height of the short pitch delivery  can be easily be predicted by even moderate bat speeds. He should have mixed some slower balls or off-spinners. He doesn’t have many skills as a bowler to rely on him completely. Can bowl 2 overs on flat pitches.

Pandya is one dimensional bowler unless the pitch has bounce or un even bounce he can’t be successful. Surprised his skill level is just that after playing for longer period of time.

He is one trick pony..Still good to have in your side....But can't rely on him for 4 overs which tells a lot about him when we want him to be our main weapon for 50 OVER wc where may have to bowl 7-8 overs....Anyway good that he has improved..

He has to be the 6th bowler , not 5th, but if he bowls 2 overs with a good rhythm and result,  quite capable of bowling 4 overs in that case ,  like he did in first match against Pakistan. He is very dangerous batsman though, a very good players to have in any team for WBC.

If Pandya is not able to bowl 4 overs in 95 percent of the matches then he is worthless investment. I don't think he will ever will be good enough batsman to demand a place as batsman in playing eleven. That is sad part of Pandya, he has not evolved, if he needs caddy to bowl his overs in t20s, what will he do in Odis.

Problem with him is he think of himself as superstar. He is good utility player and play good inning here and there but his attitude is like Sir Ian Bothom. He doesn't even pay attention to any suggestion given and sometime even abuses senior players.

Kohli actually had a good tournament.

I don't have problem with Pandya's batting, he has evolved into very good t20 and odi batsman.It is the bowling which is the worry, he has become very one dimensional bowler. If I was the captain, I would have asked him to open the bowling and asked him to pitch it up to get the swing.

The right approach would be to not be dependent on him to play a 5th bowler role. Bowl 2 overs and check if he clicks give him another one.

Then he is not an valuable asset.He has to bowl his 4 overs in 90 out 100 matches.He needs to be brave and evolve as a bowler too.
