It's heavily balanced towards spinners. Ashwin, Jadeja pick 6-fers and 7-fers for fun. You won't see pacers picking 5-fers for fun. India should preferably leave a tint of grass on Day 1 and the spinners coming in action from Day 3 onwards.

This will help them when they play overseas as well because you are not going to get 15 days of warm up practice matches given the busy schedules.

Ash-Jaddu took wickets because they are good. Opposition spinners mostly don't replicate it.

Pacers don't need to take 5fers. but they do contribute in big way through reverse swing. Shami and Umesh have bowled many great spells

First of all India should stop picking players who is deeply committed to IPL especially when there is  series or test right after IPL.

No that is not the soloution, BCCI should be able to talk to ICC and not hold these most important matches right after IPL.

That test finals should have been the crown of English summer not a foot note.

What a cricketer Cummins is..

. fabulous bowler, more than decent batsman, good fielder, Australia captain not to forget great physique and movie star looks. Man has it all..

This Cummins knock is beyond clutch. Almost Stokes Headingley level considering he's a bowler.

This is somewhat similar to Sundar's cameo on day 5 albeit Cummins has more r uns. His pull shot against Cummnis for six changed the complexiion completely.

It's heavily tilted towards spinners. That's my point.

Not evenly balanced wickets.

South Africa and New Zealand are heavily tilted towards pacers and Australia for tall fast pacers.
