From a wild, brain dead pace merchant he now bowls with control and intelligence all while retaining his pace.

Shadab atleast can be milked. Its ODI not T20 so we should be okay against him.

Shadab is quite manageable in ODIs. He will get you out if you try to hit him.

The fast bowling attack going into the World Cup. No other team can put out a pace attack with the speed and variety of Shaheen, Naseem, Rauf and Wasim jnr.  They all offer something different and are all capable of 90 mph.

 

A good wristie in Usama Mir as well.

Australians don't put all their newcomers out there - but an attack of Starc, Lance Morris, Spencer Johnson and Cummins is seriously good. Johnson will make his debut vs South Africa.Two left arm quicks and two right arm.

They used to be the gold standard but Jhye and Stanlake are lost in the system. Spencer is impressive. But Starc is 33 with a lot of niggles and both Starc and Cummins have played a lot of cricket across formats. Their speeds won't be anywhere near the Pakistan attack.

 

There is only 1 side that can, potentially, put out a pace attack that can rival or even outstrip PAK's attack in terms of speed and variety but their selection policy won't allow it.

Pakistan can afford to play Shaheen, Naseem and Rauf because both their spinners can bat ( Shabab, Nawaz or Usama Mir)

 

We can also field Bumrah, Shami, Siraj but since Kuldeep can't bat, we have to put Shardul in place of one of the fast bowler as batting cover.

Exactly.   Pak hv made it a norm that whichever spinner they pick has the ability to bat.  Not so with Ind.  This gives them advantage of batting depth.

We can't even milk spinners these days. I remember how in the 2019 WC SF, Pandya and Pant deadbatted Santner for 3-4 overs straight, no intent even to rotate strike.

That was a tough situation, atleast for young Pant. That is why Dhoni should have come up the order

Looks unlikely that Fatman Sharma would survive Shaheen's initial spell.  Even if he survives, I see him accumulating lots of dot balls and maiden overs in the PP.   I suggest he should bat left handed vs Pak. Or else he would be all at sea.  LOL

Can haris please take out rohit, kohli and any of our fodder batsmen out for good thanks. Hopefully he does some damage.

But in tests they are all much slower. So they aren't that fast technically 

 

Raud is 138-145 in tests but he will collapse and have a heart attack plus puke out all the biryani his wife cooks him

 

Shaheen is 133-140 in tests. 

Naseem is 135-145 but has stamina issues too. 

 

Wasim is just trash in tests.
