Popular Post express bowling
Today, Mayank Yadav, the tall 21 year old quick from Delhi, clocked 155 kph in SMAT, with lots of balls in the 149 k to 152 k range. This kid is special as he is accurate and gets steep bounce at express pace. He plays for LSG in the IPL. Kartik Tyagi of UP has bowled lots of 150 kph to 152.8 kph balls in this SMAT too. He too is tall at 6'3" and will complete 23 in a month. He is highly skilful with swing both ways, in-seam, good yorkers, fiery bumpers and a good temperament. But needs to get his lines right. Then there is Umran Malik who everyone know about. Hope Rohit, Dravid and Agarkar are keeping an eye on these events. Mayank Yadav can be fast tracked in ODIs just after this WC as he is very accurate too and has amazing List A stats. And Kartik.Tyagi needs to play this full FC season and be groomed specially. MK55
The good thing is with 3 such bowlers, It’s gonna push them to bowl faster and improve their all round skills. This IPL, we might see multiple 155k plus. Almost felt like Umran took it easy. It’s gonna be some rivalry now. I hope this gets the guys charged up. Mosher and express bowling 2 Link to comment

Rauf is not bad. 65 wickets in 35 games at 25. SR 26. I'd rather have Rauf than Bhuvi. Rightarmfast, Sgattick10, express bowling and 5 others 2 1 5 Link to comment

One difference is that Umran has a very good seam position.and is very skiddy. The day he learns to move the ball consistently, even if it is moderate but consistent movement, he will be a nightmare to face. tapandrun, Mosher and nevada 3 Link to comment

Please give your observations. Umran's performance has been oscillating a lot, at times I felt he is just struggling to find what works for him. He is accurate, he is fast and he attacks the stumps..but for some reason he was trying to bowl like Praisdh because his captain wanted him to. However, as the SMAT progressed he settled into his role, I was satisfied with his bowling in last 2 games. Looked like the Umran of 2022. Tyagi's journey was marred with injuries from last 2 years, but despite of that fact he has upped his pace (he was a 140kph bowler in 2020). This season he was an honest trier, bowled fast. At times erratic, at times unlucky due to catch drops, but when radar is right he is unplayable. He need to learn to come close to stumps and that's it..he has everything else working for him. Should really play VHT & FC this year. Many times people have commented, if we can mix line of Umran & length of Tyagi..we will get a perfect bowler. Tbh, that is Mayank, fast fierce pace, superb accuracy, repeatable action and consistently moving the ball into the batters. He looks most ready of all 3 quicks and can be immediately brought into the side, have to see his yorker bowling ability but looks like someone who is already ahead of his age group. My verdict Draft Mayank immediately. Include Tyagi first in longer format, provide him a coach who can work with him and understand fast bowling. Umran should be looked into ODI's, T20's is still tough for him. Use him like Shami, don't try to make Prasidh or Tyagi out of him. MK55, Sgattick10, Mosher and 2 others 5 Link to comment

His stock delivery is the incoming delivery, have to see if he can bowl the one that holds its line. He has got a good bouncer, decent slower one and yorker. Most ready among the 3 express fast bowlers. Tyagi is another exciting talent with all the skills but like @express bowling said needs a FC season to work on his bowling especially his issue with giving width. Work on getting more accurate. Umran has regressed. He needs to get back to bowling quick and at the stumps. He needs to understand that without pace he looks ordinary. Just bowling 140 at his height won't cut it and he has get back to bowling 150+ rockets directed at stumps like we saw in his 1st ipl season.
