Shouldnt have been picked but the only thing that inspires some confidence about him is how he batted in the world cup, if he continues the same approach, it will work fine. Kohli obviously should be the first pick in WestIndian conditions, they are tailor made for his style of t20 batting. Expecting Sky to finally show up. This would be my team : Sharma Jaiswal Kohli Sky Pandya Rinku Jitesh Bumrah Kuldeep/Bishnoi Siraj Arshdeep Batting till 7, we know Indian tail cannot be modified coz we have no good bowling allrounder. Chahar could have been a choice but he is usually injured. I don’t think we can do anything to fix our tail. So just stavk up your batting till 7 and play only 5 bowlers, no need of 6th bowler in t20s We definitely need two spinners in windies. Must. Just see the series we lost 3-2. Chahal was turning the ball square and pandya messed up by not giving him an extra over. Link to comment

Lord
Kohli will be needed in SA. In good form now Rohit is not needed. Rather back youngsters Link to comment
Number
https://www.espncricinfo.com/series/icc-men-s-t20-world-cup-2022-23-1298134/england-vs-india-2nd-semi-final-1298178/full-scorecard Look at the figures of Rashid and Livingstone here. Kohli Rohit played majority of those 42 balls and allowed them get away with cheap overs. The game lost right there by these 2 and that's the reason everyone is fed up with these guys screwing one tournament after another. Edited January 8 by Number Frustrated 1 Link to comment

Nikhil_cric
Kohli on slow pitches ? If Rohit and Kohli are back , it means they'll be going with a batting order of Rohit Gill Kohli SKY Iyer Jitesh/Samson(wk) Jadeja What could possibly go wrong ? sensible-indian, raki05 and Lone Wolf 2 1 Link to comment
Lone Wolf
Some absolutely pathetic arguments on this thread... No 3 will face lot of spin on those ultra low slow decks of US & WI... Kohli will be a massive liability... We know Rohit has been pathetic in WT20 How on earth is WI perfect for these guys? coffee_rules, express bowling and Number 1 2 Link to comment

Absolute travesty if he's not in the starting XI. Also Rinku. This team is not worth following if both don't make the XI. Especially because India desperately needs attacking left handers in that lineup. They get easily targeted by SLAs and leggies it's not even funny. Lone Wolf and Frustrated 2 Link to comment

And look how obese Ro is now, no professional team will carry a fatso like him. Kohli selection is perfectly ok. Bhai he is bad overall. But in 2007 wt20 he played two crucial inning. One against SA in virtual knockout and another one in Final against pak. Which took is to fighting total. Overall i agree he is bad in t20. Gollum and Frustrated 2 Link to comment
