We are losing land to China .. corruption is rampant... Adani electoral bonds... Yet it is not covered in media and opposition voices are muzzled... Add all these and include the divisive policies of BJP ... It is a destruction of the country and we will soon be in a Russia or China type of situation led by a regressive regime.. so what is the alternative... We need inspiring leaders in opposition who can challenge Modi.. because inspite of the above.. he has been a good administrator. Albeit a lot of it is stage managed by media propaganda.

Funny how BJP will destroy the country if they keep ruling for another 4-5 times straight, but the guys winning for 30 straight years in Japan or Korea or Singapore didn't destroy those countries.

Does the opposition have any selling point on which they can ask for a change ? 

All they do is, vote for us else they will change the constitution or democracy is dead, modi is a dictator blah blah. They have zero reach on the ground.

The Congress is worse than Britishers when it comes to infra or industrial setups development.

Imagine a party in 2024 has absolutely nill points on development or economic growth. All of them are about doles or pensions or sarkaari naukari based on caste or sex.

They got a chance to govern a few states in this 2014-2024 period but failed to create a model of development which they could sell across India.

People are not as gullible as 50s to 90s now. They will vote for you if you sell them something good.

Was it all changa when congress ruled India for over 60 years ? They didn’t even put subash Chandra Bose picture in parliament. They vilify veer savarkar every time. They cause Brahmin riots in Mumbai avd Sikh riots in Delhi. They imposed emergency. For all the  Muslims ka thekedar they didn’t even had Muslim leaders in their party. They had ornamental Muslim leader like salman krushid. They lost Aksai chin and terrorism was at peak during upa rule. The home minister had no clue what was happening. Congress only had loyalists in posts. People were brainwashed in to believing they got freedom but they erased revolutionary leaders contributions. Ever heard the term caged parrot CBI ? Now look at BJP. They brought many people out of poverty and are building great infrastructure all over India. Security situation improved a lot. Pakistan stopped doing the acts. They found FATF list as a weapon. The Indian MEA is best it has been in years. They have delivered most of their 2019 manifesto. 
 

Rahul Gandhi makes Jupiter escape velocity, sona aur Aaloo , ripping bill passed by his own govt, janedari Brahmin and complaining who owns newspapers. AI is all networks lol. 
 

Liquor scam had money trail. BRS MP was arrested and kejriwal never passed lokpal bill which was his promise. He doesn’t unlock his phone and doesn’t provide his old phone. 
 

 

Adani is a big lol. Adani got big projects in chattisgarh and Rajasthan during congress rule. Recently Telangana CM who is from congress met him. Adani has much lower contribution to electoral bonds than others.

Topic is valid but these questions were not asked for 70 years under Congress rule. There are some unforced errors made by this government but the congress didnt even play. To answer your question, yeah this doesn't look great for India that the opposition is too weak to even keep the govt honest. In an alternate universe, congress gets some balls and kicks the ghandi family to the curb and start nominating someone like the late PVNR. Realistically that doesn't sound like an option. So we just hope that this govt is good

Absolutely and the longer he stays the worse it will become but the silver lining is after modi his henchmen are equally inept.. so maybe there will be change

For 70 years, Politicians and Parliament, Government official and Agenciens  got used to black money, commision, corrupttion and inefficiency.

 

Now when they cant do it or they get caught suddenly fight against corruption is a bad thing for democracy,

Democracy is about asking questions, not about opposition strength. And this measure alone makes the last 10 years, a very democratic India where questions were asked about parties, institutions, laws, past , present & future . That’s actually the biggest issue with opposition parties if they win elections,  they don’t want any questions about them. 
 

Next, despite many losses, opposition parties hasn’t changed their main leadership, nor developed any 2nd tier leaders. Its pathetic. Compare that with BJP, who have already and developing many new leaders from common people. Democracy starts within

Yes go check the press freedom index we worse than Afghanistan lol. They are biased indicted created by the likes of ford foundation. How are they calculating the ranking ? Do they call few intellectuals and create the ranking ? India has RTI you can get information on majority of govt related decisions.  Let’s talk about corruption congress 2g, coal scam, adarsh scam and many more. I haven’t heard single scam in the last 10 years.  
 

So they rank based on surveys from NGOs lol. Great. What work do they actually do ? Apart from being aggregator of surveys for various counties. Must be an easy job to create rankings based on surveys.
It is also favorable for countries like US and UK which have corporate scams.

The saddest part of this whole thing as the brainwashing that is happening that will take decades to erase.

 

Idiotic things like Hindi Medium, war against eggs/protein in schools for children, massive drive against entrepreneurship and towards IAS/IPS and Civils. Then add to this complete and utter control of the media by corporations.

 

It's not even about BJP anymore. The corporations will rule and make even Modi dance to their tune if he ever dare touch them in the future as all it takes is make the media go against him if he makes one big error.

 

Just look at the CM's of Telangana, Andhra, Punjab etc. from non-BJP parties literally bowing down like slaves to Adani when ever he decides to come and do whatever he pleases with zero opposition. At least against Modi there is some level of opposition but not a single fly is allowed to land on Ambani, Adani and other shadow corporates.

 

Eventually there will come a day when public will demand something important and the government will due to pressure from corporations not yield. Then, even if the government wants to reverse course, they will be internally destroyed by same corporations who have been given the power of monopoly in critical sectors, full control of media and insane amount of money through SBI loans and insurance company funds.

 

This is exactly what happens when you want to win at all costs and don't care about future generations. Indira Gandhi made same mistake which gave the rise of BJP.

 

My fear is what happens then? The damage will be so extreme that who ever takes over the next government will be fully controlled by the same corporations and will not be able to do a single good for the nation.

When you are REALLY serious about being an objective and neutral person really dig deep into how Adani purchased Mumbai Airport from GVK Reddy a true industrialist and visionary. Considered on par to the Tatas in South with zero blemishes or corruption in their record.

 

Then it will be clear why politicians who have tons of cases on them are being slaves.

 

Soon BRS/TRS will merge with BJP for the same reason and current Congress on Telangana will also merge to BJP for the same reason.

 

It's nothing to do with Modi or idealism or what you think and everything to do with how corporations own the country. And that too only handful of them.
