Yes, it's time for a new think tank. Every single season is starting with a bunch of losses, starting with the season opener. Complacency is the primary reason for it.

Few years they had this trundler Chris Jordan lol Topley belongs to that category. Why would you play him in a match like this. They could have played  Karn sharma or used Bawa as a bowler used Charita Asalanka as a foreign pick. He bowls too.

Yeah, I don't understand the need for the mediocre Topley. Left handed bowler is not a guarantee for good quality.

Pandya captaincy cost MI the match there. Bowling Ashwani Kumar at the death was a blunder of epic proportions. He is a rookie bowler who had already been taken apart in prior games. Santner and Pandya himself had overs and should have used either of them. This match just shows why Pandya is not cut out for captaincy.

 

Also Boult is a great Test bowler but a very poor T20 bowler. Even though he got a few wickets, he kept leaking tons of runs throughout the tournament. You can't just keep floating the ball and trying to swing it in these conditions. If there is no swing, then Boult is canon fodder.

Pandya is also a poor captain. Will still blame the decision to put him over the head of bumrah and Sky.

And yeah, the nepo-baby Tendulkar needs to be kicked out. Can you imagine someone like Ayush Mhatre not being picked by MI but the useless Arjun Tendulkar making the cut as an "all-rounder"

Was a good season for MI. Bowling attack needs to be better. But with so much money given to Rohit Sharma, Tilak Verma, SKY, Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah there will always be challenge getting two top notch bowlers.

They still have the best bowling attack in IPL. Sometimes you've to give credit to opponent and move on. Iyer played a special innings to win it for PBKS. MI didn't lose it, Iyer won it for his team.

Jordan wasn't a trundler. Topley is. Jordan wasn't good or successful but that doesn't make him a trundler.

you need an X factor spinner in your side. Santner is not an X factor bowler. He is a good defensive bowler. He is not going to get you wickets whenever you want

Should have never let Cameron Green go for that pandya . We could have developed him like Lendl simmons, watson, bravo kinda multi utility player for MI had we retained him.
