cowboysfan
it the fault of BCCI and the idiot Shah boy, basically it has killed all development of all rounders in LOIs and we desperately need new allrounders. raki05

maniac
To be honest, it’s fine. True allrounders will bowl anyway. I mean green, Pandya bros, Jadeja, Curran: decent bowlers will still bowl despite being allrounders.

Issue is developing one from batter or bowler. cricspirit and Sgattick10

Lord
Impact sub needs to be tweaked, not removed. TBH if not for impact sub, we won't have found guys like Jurel,Ashutosh,Sai Sudarshan etc. AuxiliA and express bowling 1

tapandrun
In last so many seasons IPL has given just 1 allrounder -Pandaya, IPL is not the place where teams will try to make a player out of some1. They come, they play and get paid. Impact sub rule is similar to how bcci used it to prolong Sachin's career using super-sub till they find another high marketable player in Kolhi and Dhoni. Rt. now after Kolhi and Rohit they have no big names thats why bcci will try to prolong their IPL careers. One of the reason why Kolhi and Rohit got backdoor entry to t20 wc was sponsors and hosts asking for big names, no 1 will pay to watch say a Samson in USA-just look at the price of those tkts. Think bcci sent Kolhi and Rohit on a tour where they sat-out was just to find sponsors. Assuming this is their last stint in intnl t20s, who is next superstar.....?? they placed all their eggs in one basket -Pant and KL. Till now Pant has not proved himself as a good white-ball player has a SR of 125 2nd worse by In Ind batter in t20is. and then KL is KL... As for allrounders now only proper allrounders will get to play unlike players who are neither batter nor bowler. No place for players who give illusion of an allrounder for balancing the team Edited April 18 by tapandrun
express bowling
Impact-sub rule is blocking bits snd pieces players and not true all-rounders. Not bad. Batsmen had stopped bowling long before the impact-sub rule came ... probably to cut down on chance of injury. Only area getting affected is ... the bowlers who could bat a bit are not getting that many chances with the bat. But, then again, those chances were very limited anyway in T20s. Impact-sub rule is giving rookie bowlers and batters chances and that's a plus. MediumPacer
Impact sub allows the batters to attack the spinners in the middle overs.Otherwise with shorter batting lineups and on slow pitches ,spinners have it too easy and it's an eyesore. In int cricket batting lineups are longer and pitches are less helpful hence our spinners are not as effective. Dhoni can barely run for more than 2 overs. He is pulling through for one season after a surgery. This probably is going to be his last IPL.
