Depends which matches are on what Grounds.. if there are any Tests on pitches which are helpful traditionally for bowlers then yes.. if all 5 tests are played on slow spinning surfaces then youre just risking Bumrah to play him for the sake of practice.

He could have got a 2/3 County matches in Sept to get some practice in any club would have loved to have him

Playing Test cricket in India >>> County for some third grade teams.

We won't make turners against Kanglus and Kiwis.  Kanglus may as well get seaming tracks.

Yeah sure.. but if you get injured after playing and then cant play big SENA series, thats a but crap isnt it?

Australia lost a test to west indies, India will definitely do better. 3-2 either way I think

They lost carelessly to Windies. Won't be careless vs India at this time.

A lot will depend on our bowling and selection. If Bumrah and Shami are fit with Siraj in some semblance of form, and backed up by a couple of selections such as Harshit Rana, Nitish Reddy and Akash Deep, it may well be a close series.

But at the moment I wouldn't disagree with Ponting and go 3-1 for Aus. Too many oldies and walking wkts in our batting order. We need one or two to take a "break" or paternity leave before the series

You are still confusing tests with LOIs?

I can understand dementia is hard so let me make it clear so that even you can understand - be it tests, odi, t20, 10-10, gilli danda  - Ashwin is a greater batter than Kuldeep.

prove me wrong with stats and facts. Not your old man rants - and when i mean stat, proper stat not your selective 1000 filter stats.
Ashwin failed in one series and Kuldeep by fluke performed better than average. That is an exception not a RULE

I m 100% sure we will whitewash Aus this time if we pick Bhuvi, Unadkat, Shardul & Mookesh Koomar

Not sure about others but Unadkat hasnt done badly with red ball in recent chances even on dead bangla tracks

Ind tour of BD was in 2022.  Below is the actual recent performance in 2023 against mighty Windies.  https://www.espncricinfo.com/series/india-in-west-indies-2023-1381201/west-indies-vs-india-2nd-test-1381213/full-scorecard.   This explains why he was never considered for selection again.

Economy of 0.33 in the second innings

bowled a fiery yet luckless first innings spell. All in all a decent effort I would say

Also played out 26 balls in first innings. Which points to a budding  all rounder in the making

In 2nd inning, he bowled only 3 overs & went wicketless.  Our captain didn't want to continue with him as the new ball would be wasted.   But yeah, Eco Rate was 0.33. What a game changing spell that was !!     :hysterical:                                In 1st inning, he went wicketless despite having bowled 16 overs at eco-rate of almost 3.  Of course this was truly a fiery spell in an alternate universe.  On the same pitch,  Siraj dismantled the opponent by taking 5 wickets in his 20 overs.  Even Mookesh took 2 wickets.  Every tom dick harry took wickets.  (Except our gem Unadkat)       And it must be these fiery spells which hv resulted in his permanent exclusion from the team since July 2023.

You are getting personal which is not called for. Just going by stats I see - you have to watch some games to understand the deep complexities involved.  It was indeed a fiery spell with lots of Ooohs and Aaahs.

He was not dropped, got injured and will be back tormenting the Aussies soon

Obviously,  his 110-120 kmph thunderbolts are likely to terrorise even the best batters (incl sir don bradman).  Most batters must be getting impatient and must be wondering "Will the ball ever reach me Or I need to take a couple of steps forward before smashing it for maximum?"
