Is it due to low IQ that we(Indians) burn garbage at every nook and corner?

It's not low IQ. It's unplanned growth, lack of infrastructure and lack of political will to provide proper disposal mechanisms and enforce litter rules.

The reason is NOT low IQ, but the low trust. 

 

The co-operation levels among Indians, especially hindus, are pathetically low. 

 

The abrahamics do have good level of internal co-operation. I am sure even war torn Gaza is much cleaner.

It's not low IQ
It's lack of respect and care to surrondings. This happens when the country is constantly under the mindset of survival....so it becomes us vs them.
Overpopulation is another reason, we are in constant journey to compete and outperform each other at the destination that we don't take care of the route.
Same Indians when go to Singapore, China, Korea, Vietnam or any other country in west....behave in disciplined manner.

Actually, with per capita income of less than $2500, What other method do we have to deal with Garbage. One may  visit any country which has per capita income less than USD 6-10K, there wont be any other method of dealing with garbage.

 

Even that cost of disposal is subsidised as Most Western countries ship their Garbage to poorer nations as they know, it can be burned there.

Yes, Which means people in West are also not ready to pay for the disposal of their waste and would rather get it burned, But offcouse , since they are rich, they will  carry it and then burn it in a poorer country.

Not quite. At least from America (AFAIK) only recyclable waste like that gets shipped to poorer countries but just disappears into trash there because America does not want to deal with it. Other household garbage that we do not put into recycling goes into local landfills.

 

IMO, the recycling industry, especially plastic, is a complete scam.

Out of 1.4 billion you will obviously get some clever people. But the average Indian is not very smart. Many have a vacant look and lack of social etiquette. 23% cannot even read or write.

 

I've seen 30 year olds believing WWE is real.

You cannot compare the dirt and filth in Los Angeles and Paris to what you'll see in parts of Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai. It's on a completely level in India. India, Pakistan and Bangladesh are the three most polluted countries in the world. 83 out the top 100 most polluted cities in the world are in India.

But same India has clean cities like Indore as well. Which shows that if govt is strict...India too can be as beautiful and clean as the world's thinly populated cities.
