Tom Latham outsmarted this guy out of all the captains, and the same NZ side is getting their backs handed over by England at home. Rohit would have done his legacy as a player and captain a world of good had he retired immediately after T20 WC win.

Rohit's test career was done before 2021 BGT. What got him into the team was the failures by Shaw and Agarwal in the 36ao gamr which was why he was called into the team and he hasn't looked back since. No one thought he was a SENA opener at least before that even though he was given chances there before.

His IPL and LOI involvement  definitely helped him a lot. Making him a captain ahead of others was a terrible move as he has never shown at any level he is a good long format captain.

I could care less if they continue to play in ODIs, and they will probably do well in ODIs as pitches are just flat.
