Popular Post Gollum Posted January 10 Popular Post Posted January 10 (edited) LINK As @Lord predicted, after Ashwin, they will sacrifice Jadeja. Anything to protect the two main villains of Indian cricket, Rohit and Kohli. Many PR plants against Jadeja being circulated in last couple of days. White ball, perfectly understandable. But PR is pushing lies about his so called 'off colour' performance in test cricket as a cause for concern. How shameless are these vultures? Take any time frame in last few years, Jadeja has been a much better test batsman than Ro/Ko......got a 10fer recently against NZ, much better fielder/catcher, fitter than any version of Rohit. Sure, plan for transition, but imagine a world where Jadeja is dropped from the test team (especially home season) and free run to the two leeches who are worse batsmen than Chris Martin in current form, and in irreversible age related decline. Jaiswal can't get an ODI debut as well, despite being the standout youngster of the modern era, and a generational talent like Viv, Sachin, AB. Unimaginable scale of corruption in Indian cricket. Jay Shah, Gambhir, Agarkar, ex-players, commentators, all pigs. Edited January 10 by Gollum saransh, Suhaan, New guy and 16 others 2 5 2 10
Real McCoy Posted January 10 Posted January 10 Right on. Speaking of vultures, did Boria Mazumdar have something to say on this topic. He is the one who wrote a book named gods of cricket or something. He will be behind the behind of roko. straighttalk 1
Lone Wolf Posted January 10 Posted January 10 (edited) Jadeja deserves at least another cycle in test cricket. Test series in SL in 2026 is going to be pretty tough otherwise. Don't think Axar the test bowler is closer to him. Suthar might be a better bowler but he is still developing with the bat. I am open to him retiring post SL 2026 if they want to move on then let Suthar play home tests vs WI and SA and gauge him out @Gollum Edited January 10 by Lone Wolf Gollum, nevada and Lord 3
diga Posted January 10 Posted January 10 In white ball cricket, Jadeja is a spent force. He should stick to tests and play another 2-3 years Lord and SandeepMotta 1 1
singhvivek141 Posted January 10 Posted January 10 Jadeja, Kohli, Rohit all 3 are 35-37 year old. By end of next cycle they will be around 38-40...spent force and a liability. It's good time to phase them from Tests, we have young kids like Nishant Sindhu, Manav Suthar who are 20-21 year old and can replace Jadeja...Axar too is there for next 5-6 years. People may feel nostalgic and won't want to let go off the past. But the time has changed, and so should be the players. express bowling 1

I think OP is talking about the inconsistency in ways these oldies are treated. Jadeja getting dropped from the side but the two useless leeches continue to leech off Indian cricket even though they have been far far worse than Jadeja. How can anyone explain this?
Nikhil_cric Posted January 10 Posted January 10 Jadeja is only getting dropped, if at all, from the ODI side. And that's long overdue to be fair. 4 years of being rubbish is long enough.

This discrepancy will continue coz both RoKo are marketable brands behind which sponsors and other ad companies are aligned with.
figo6762 Posted January 10 Posted January 10 Yes he should go there are enough cricketers in his mold waiting to break through Axar, Abhishek , Nishant … please let this go guy ,.. take RoKo along with you ,.
vvvslaxman Posted January 10 Posted January 10 There is a heirarchy. Rohit being a regular in Test side and captaining the tes side while Jadeja/Ashwin not being regular is a travesty in itself.
deathmonger Posted January 10 Posted January 10 Jadeja/Ashwin still had juice left. Thing is these two were so good that even a slight decline means they are still good. Lord and cricspirit 2
vvvslaxman Posted January 10 Posted January 10 This is applicable fo rall bowlers. Even Bumrah will go through this phase moment he stops showing up. Bowlers don't have PR groups lined up for them.

Commercial value of players matter for BCCI. A reason why Gill will get more chances compared to say Rinku singh. This PR effort on social media is a reflection of your brand value. When you see Adam Gilchrist hyping Kohli , one can hear how contrived it sounds. It sounded anything but genuine. It was almost like he was persuaded to say these things. BacktoCricaddict Posted January 10 Posted January 10 Wait ... I just realized what @Gollum did with the thread title. SWORD HANGS OVER JADEJA? Gollum and Lord 2
