Creating this "Maahaul" is key to Indian cricket medias survival and continuity. They’re just running PR marathons for their deities and their sponsors. Nut-huggers? Nah, these folks are nut-butlers, spit polishing the jewels daily.

Gill as VC? That means no place for Jaiswal, have never seen a youngster treated this badly. Hooda, Ruturaj have played 10 ODIs each, but Jaiswal yet to debut. Make it make sense.

 

Also Sai Sudarshan won us an ODI series 2 years back on RSA's spicy green wickets, venue of next WC, never selected again.

Remember how skipper Gill tried to sabotage Jaiswal and Abhishek Sharma in the series in Zimbabwe immediately after last year's T20 WC? Both those guys made Gill look inept, so had to be shown their place despite good performance, Abhishek paid the price even after a 40 ball 100. 

 

How can such a selfish, crooked guy be rewarded with leadership role? For his age, Gill is a bigger Shakuni mama than skipper Rohit.

I almost exactly predicted that the selectors would pick this squad.  I thought they would pick DSP, and select only one of Jadeja or Sundar.. Both of them being picked is the only surprise.
