Virat has declined even in ODIs.

These days ODIs are played very rarely. Any post saying "Kohli has failed only in last 6 odi matches, which is not a large sample size" actually sounds quite dumb.

Kohli's PR team wants Indian fans to wait till he fails in another 25 ODI matches (spanning across 5 yrs) to judge if his form has really dipped.

6 ODIs across 2 years and we can all see he struggles to buy a run across formats. Can't even score in domestics anymore.

 

He can't play pacers outside off, can't play spin, can't bat at a high SR when teams are scoring 350, and is a huge liability. Despite quick starts the team struggles coz Kohli comes in and stalls the innings. Can't get going and there's always a chance of him running out his partner.

 

Selectors messed up by not taking a tougher stand and going with Rohit, Jaiswal, Gill as the top 3 with Kohli dropped.

Abu Dhabi is usually better than Dubai.  The T10 league there produces belters.

 

India would have enjoyed playing at Lahore but there is dew factor at play there.  Could make a lottery Semi and finals.

Amritsar to Lahore they will have to go under heavy security and comeback. 

To and fro will be difficult and tiring.

Key in Lahore yesterday was to hold that good length as long as possible. 

 

English seamers 

 

Full length : 23 %.  8.8 RPO

 

Short balls : 46 % 9.9 RPO , 1 wicket

 

Good length : 31 % 5 RPO 2 wickets 

 

 

At least Kohli can anchor on a flat Lahore wicket.  In the UAE, he can be a complete liability

If you are anyways playing in Lahore it would make sense they will stay under heavy security in a hotel near the stadium.

The to and fro would be risky for a terror attack.  Again that is hypothetical assuming India played there

Kohli will be just fine here and in 2027 world cup if he chooses to play.He has carried this sorry ass team on his back for 15 years without any support.

 

He never got any support from his sorry ass bowlers. If failing to chase 330 plus in knockout matches and one iffy decision are is his only sins. 

 

He has done just fine. He cannot be superman everytime that is his only fault.

This statement is absurd. I've watched cricket for a long time, and the bowlers he had were unmatched—Prime Bumrah, Shami, Bhuvi, plus a decent Kuldeep and Chahal. Even Pandya was bowling well. His only job was to pick the right bowlers for the right conditions, and he failed. Pakistan’s bowling is garbage, and under scoreboard pressure, he’ll be a sitting duck against any decent attack. Mark my Words!

He has been laying eggs in Test matches but doesn’t retire him and sharma should have some shame and retire. Both go missing in crucial knockout matches.

We'll see what happens in knockouts. The knock against Kohli has always been knockouts. Our tourney is gonna start in SF and let's see what he does then.

Kohli can score against Pakistan with eyes closed. It doesn't count towards form status lol.

Also against Naseem who is their most consistent bowler who hammers a good length. 

 

Absolutely destroyed Shaheen and Rauf at 150 odd strike rate.

All we want is someone step up in knockouts. Getting past likes of B'desh and Pak to get to knockouts is a pretty low bar for us. Real test is during knockouts as you're in the "last chance saloon" and you either show up or go home.
