MechEng Posted May 11, 2025 Posted May 11, 2025 @ravishingravi what people are angry about is that we have failed to achieve the objective of these strikes - to set a deterrence. Now Pak army knows our threshold, no matter how strong India is, just call US and Indians immediately go backfoot. Also, this has ended up giving Pak army more support from their awaaam who were earlier against them due to jailing of Imran Khan. See the pattern - Pakistan army going backfoot amid loss of trust from their people --> plan a terror attack in India --> Modi makes angry speech and army strikes back--> After 15 days, Pak calls US for de-escalation --> India be like "OK saar" and opts for ceasefire. Gollum Posted May 11, 2025 Posted May 11, 2025 (edited) Proud of our armed forces and border folks, and grateful. Government started well but then caught cold feet, maybe some bigshot mantris/babus are compromised or moles. Make no mistake, we had Pawkees by the balls when ceasefire call happened. Would our enemy(or China) have extended similar mercy if the roles were reversed? We should have negotiated for something in return, literally have so many high profile terror masterminds finding shelter there. At least Dawood, Bhatkals should have been on the table since they were Indians (also inactive/useless for ISI presently) who found refuge there as opposed to home grown Hafiz Saeed, Lakhvi, Masood. We have got nothing in return, lost more men in this conflict than the Pahalgam tragedy, lost tons of material (including possibly fighter jets), huge expenses for mobilization. Sure we eliminated a dozen jihadis but those folks are replaceable. The hits to their airbases will be repaired in no time and things will go back to usual. Have we inflicted any real damage to the Pak fauj that may deter future misadventures from their side? With their faulty and inadequate air defence system, we should have blown apart half their air assets rendering them incapable of mounting a challenge to us for the next 30 years. Or some damage to their weakass navy, our strongest card was not even shown in this conflict. IMO Haji Pir pass should have been a target because once you get that pass (like we did in 1965, but had to surrender in Tashkent agreement), 99% of terrorist infiltration to JK will stop. We held all aces but refused to press our advantage. Pawkees will regroup, fill in missing chinks and our next operation won't be nearly that easy (China too will be prepared then). Expect more terror attacks, this time even in our main cities and army bases. Pahalgam is already forgotten and BJP has enough material for next 2-3 elections. ravishingravi Posted May 11, 2025 Posted May 11, 2025 (edited) Only way I can explain this stupid reactions is that this is adrenaline of war. Something this country hasn't experienced for a long long time. A country of cowards that writes strong letters just attacked in the heart of enemy country. The anxiety, hunger and the anger can be a high. When nothing happens to maintain it it can be a crash. In 2-3 days it will be okay. I would rather take the quieter implosion of Pak with 6 months - 1 year just like Syria or Libya. All it needs is a bit of push from our side which we would be happy to give. I am confident this is now imminent. People can cry as much as they want. I don't want the war. I want the enemy cut to it's size. I don't care how. Ten thousand cuts. They will keep using these tactics, their wealth lies in Dubai, London, while they keep selling churan to awam to whose life keeps getting worst, selling fake nationalism every time you are f*cked, classic tale as old as time. For us the problem lies with our civilian leadership, if this had gone for a few more days, the destruction in Pakistan would have been unfathomable, but you got be prepared to take a few hits, which our politicians don't seem to be. ravishingravi Posted May 11, 2025 Posted May 11, 2025 This was the best explanation of how we will be disintegrating Pakistan. A nuclear country cannot be beaten in head on battle. What people don't understand is that India is actively strategizing through the method of "implausible deniability". Never have I seen enemy so rattled. Silence is golden and our strength. What they do is serjical strikes, produce reports of terrorists being killed, then sit back to watch them come back at us. They will attack us and we won't respond. They can't even say they violated the ceasefire because that would mean India has to attack them again. This is good enough for the next election which seems to be the main goal Am giving one year tops for this posture by GOI. IWT will be back. Pak YT channels, entertainment outlets will be available to Indian audience. Collaboration in music, movies etc. Indo-Pak cricket will resume. Medical visits for Pawkees in India, GOI will ensure their patients get special preference, legacy of Sushma Swaraj. Regular chai, samosa sessions for our MEA, NSA with their counterparts. More importantly, terror season will be back in JK and rest of India. Government won't need to react because this Sindoor drama has given them enough ammunition for at least next 5 years (Uri had shelf life of 3 years, Pulwama 6). Agree and disagree. I think the people involved have more facts than us. Superiority is already established. Yes in perception we were on top. But let's be clear Pak would have panicked and taken drastic action. I know the tension and anger is much to much. But in time we will understand. We are on ascendency. World is as shocked as Pakistan by our strength. We didn't get stretched at any point. This has to be done surgically not ham handedly. We might still get the same result but at considerably higher cost when the result won't matter.
