Think of it from another angle - say Pak decides to open its market and even give military bases (a good proposition for someone seeking to expand military presence) to the US and in return asks for it to not do trade deals with India, the US will likely not oblige.

Not comparable. Give me an honest answer, If UK gets a trade deal done with Pakistan, do you honesty belive the PM of UK would have done all that cringe to celebrate it?

 

Pakistan econmy isn't significant enough to get concessions they need even if they open it up completely. Also no one is telling them not to trade with Pakistan, giving free money to a country attacking India is not same as asking them not to trade.

Unlikely to happen.

 

Pakistan’ was an example on A v B - based its strengths including providing military bases.
