Jokes apart he has been picked to replace Shami. Shreyas Iyer has been given enough chances and McCullum from stands asked bowlers to bowl at his head and in 2 balls he was gone in the old trafford test.. Chakravarti cant even bowl 10 overs without huffing, do you think he has the skills and fitness to last 5 days and with English summer being dry it will be long days for bowlers.. English summer kab se dry ho gaya? Even currently I am seeing rain in several parts of England. Edited May 24, 2025 by rkt.india

No way is he good enough to be in the squad in overseas tests, even this washed up Kohli, Rohit are like Bradman compared to him. Imagine Bumrah taking orders from this lukkha. It was between Sarfaraz vs Karun. Recent form is with Karun. But for long term Sarfaraz was better pick. Tricky call nevertheless. Chances of Karun doing well are roughly same as Sarfaraz
Teengunalagaan Posted May 24, 2025 Posted May 24, 2025 On the brighter side, we have a good news. All the PR and fans of RoKo can take a Pi*s, no more of that bs Sgattick10, wanted_desi and nevada 3
The Realist Posted May 24, 2025 Posted May 24, 2025 Thakur's Belly > Rohit's Belly At least restaurants in UK will be happy. Gill did not play in Aus (hence not good enough) but now somehow captain on an Eng tour. Manucrick 1

figo6762 Posted May 24, 2025 Posted May 24, 2025 Honestly pressure on Sai and Jaiswal to score .. everyone else can just be blown away in 2 hrs in cloud covered afternoon .
Nikhil_cric Posted May 24, 2025 Posted May 24, 2025 Can't have Arshdeep and Thakur playing Test cricket. Not sure why Rana isn't in the squad. The bowling attack will have lost all venom by 4th Test. Lord 1

KL averages 33 after 58 test matches Gill averages 35 after 32 test matches KL has to do a lot work to get his average to a respectable average of 40 or above. Selection on basis of performance is not the forte of selectors. Very disappointing that such mediocre averages of 33 and 35 still gets them a test spot as a specialist batsman. How can selectors think of wasting test batting positions on such mediocre averaging test batsmen.
Sgattick10 Posted May 24, 2025 Posted May 24, 2025 Not a bad squad at all, let's see how all the youngsters perform.

Nikhil_cric Posted May 24, 2025 Posted May 24, 2025 Jaiswal KL Sai Gill Nair Pant Jadeja/Washi Akash Prasidh Siraj Bumrah Probably the best lineup to ensure 20 wickets as cheap as possible bowl_out 1

Forecast of more than 7 days can't be taken too seriously in the age of weather forecasting becoming difficult. A lot can happen in 25 days meteorologically and I am an avid met observer. Thakur saab is just to provide some experience...and cover for the potential failure of Indian Batting...
rish Posted May 24, 2025 Posted May 24, 2025 Dont think Gill has the technique to last in England. KL will grind out 20s and 30s before nicking in the slips.Modern day sanjay bangar. Also not sure about Karun nairs consistency. Will be a tough tour.

They would have dropped Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma from two formats couple of years back. Jadeja would have been dropped feom ODI format as well. On tour of Aus Nitish Reddy the batting all rounder was batting at 8 ?, Sundar was also there in some matches to cover the lack of runs from the actual batsmen. Won't be surprised if we see a specialist bowler less in playinh 11 to have a lower order batting depth to cover the lack of runs from avtual batting lineup.

Adamant Posted May 24, 2025 Posted May 24, 2025 Shardul Thakur is going to be our trumpcard in this tour. ind_hyd1 1
