We can't win with brain dead and one-dimensional cricketers like Siraj and Prasidh

Bowlers can't bat

Batters can't bowl

Neither can field well

Recipe for success...

Why only bowler should hold a bat ,why can't any of the top batsman hold the ball.

We need Riyan Parag, Tilak ,in the top 5 who can bowl some overs .

As I mentioned in a post earlier, I'm all for only 2 specialist Batters and rest have to bowl.

Aren't you the same guy who makes these types of wrist slitting threads and than puts the team on a pedestal when they win?

Don't think you'll find too many posts from me biggying up the team or put the team on a pedestal but yeah I'm a big supporter of team playing multi-dimensional players and youngsters.

The only time I've praised the team is when they started playing youngsters and deserving players and kicked out oldies. And that was mostly T20Is, or playing likes of Axar in ODIs and adding depth.

I like the direction the team has taken in Tests, except for Karun Nair after the 1st 2 Tests and persisting with one-dimensional players, especially Prasidh Krishna. Better to lose with multi-dimensional players instead of one trick ponies who don't offer anything.

Siraj is my man. Gives his 100%. Thoda brain use karna chahiye, but still. Meanwhile Boom-boom is resting, just sayin'! :flute:

With an rookie captain, a loda coach and an somewhat inexperienced batting and bowling lineup (sans Bumrah), this is the best they showed for. India was in the game every match. Better than the maharathi filled overpaid ones in 2011.

Fully agreed with specialist batters. See my post above. Can't have more than 2 specialist batters either. Pick 2 top batters and rest have to be able to bowl.

Idiotic post. Test cricket is for specialists, not bits and pieces players.

There is no point of having batters who can bowl, when the captain himself is not giving opportunities to the proper bowlers i.e. Sundar.

Playing in SENA, you got to have a pace bowling allrounder at no 7 (or 8). As usual BCCI stopped looking elsewhere once they identified Nitish Reddy. Brought in Shardul Thakur who is 35 y.o., overweight and at the dawn of his career. If Hardik isnt interested, atleast bring in Raj Bawa.

5 bowlers is a right strategy. Only caveat is you need to have 4+1 combination instead of 3+2.

4th seamer was needed. Missed an all rounder for sure. Playing both Karun and Sai was a terrible mistake. There is no real logic in that call

When Shardul, Kamboj,Arshdeep were in the squad, what was the need to select Sai or Karun.

From so many of the support staff, coach, captain, no one was has ability to read the pitch and conditions.

When you know Bumrah will not play ,you don't have confidence in Prasiddh, Arshdeep, Anshul, why you didn't ask for some another pacer.

What is the status of Arshdeep, is he injured, fit. If he is injured why was in the squad for such a long period.

What good is that "herculean" effort when you drop sitters, have low cricketing IQ, can't hold the bat to save your life. All these negatives outweigh the positives. There's a reason why India won ICC tourneys with likes of Axar in there instead of Siraj.

I think can't hold the bat etc isn't true anymore to his credit, as his efforts at Lords showed

Dropped catches can happen as it did famously to Boult in the ODI WC final

He has arguably been Indias player of the series. Is he a great bowler, no. But he is good and we don't have anyone better

On Prasidh I can think of a number of more pressing concerns before we start talking about his batting haha

Sorry bhai that makes no sense and hasn't proved to succeed for anyone

Any all rounders or multi dimension players about today are in the team on the basis of their primary skill: Woakes, Atkinson, Carse are good bowlers who can bat , fortunately for England... If there were other better bowlers, say if Archer was fit , he would come in for any of those as a better bowler though he's less of a batsman

What the point of having 6 bowling options when two of more aren't test class.

You say the era of specialist is over but only cite LOI examples to prove your point - no one will disagree that ODI and T20 need all rounders, but not in tests.

Test cricket needs specialists in the main. One genuine all rounder, yes.

We have been burnt this series by playing three out of Thakur and NKR and Sundar and Jadeja in the same team (isn't that enough proof that it doesn't work.

I can't understand how someone can make that post seriously.  And if its not a troll,  then how one can consider oneself to be a cricket watcher, far less a fan, far less someone who understands the game in the slightest.
