Trichromatic Posted September 29, 2025 Posted September 29, 2025 Apart from lack of skills, this is one of the reasons they lose matches like this. When wickets were falling for them, everyone was trying to become big hitter show superiority by going for big shots causing collapse. During bowling, Rauf was bowling with mindset of going for big booming fast yorker to blow away the batsman instead of bowling boring line outside the off. test fan, cricspirit and IndianRenegade 3
maniac Posted September 29, 2025 Posted September 29, 2025 Slightly disagree. They do have very good raw cricket “skills” . What they lack is temperament, education , brains or etiquette. Not limited to just cricket players. jf1gp_1, cricspirit, Lone Wolf and 4 others 2 5
goose Posted September 29, 2025 Posted September 29, 2025 not often I credit IPL but I reckon denying them participation has hit them hard and sustains our aura sugumarrising 1
vvvslaxman Posted September 29, 2025 Posted September 29, 2025 Pakistan's talent pool is at its worst. They literally have nobody to take over these useless guys. How many of these Pak batsmen would walk into say Srilanka or even Bangladesh. Most of these guys will struggle to fidn a spot in lower ranked sides. Manucrick, tapandrun and addicted4444 3

I disagree...they are very limited batting skill wise..specially their middle order...coach must have asked them to play aggressive modern cricket....they didn't know how to adapt ..plus setting total means they didn't know the pitch...so they committed harakiri...that's the execution part...the other is obviously decision making. Raw skill is there in bowling but not in batting.
tapandrun Posted September 29, 2025 Posted September 29, 2025 its just lack of skills right now, look at pak team's t20i sr hardly 1-2 over 130. they rely on bowling vs good teams. even when they were looking like they were playing fast they were not scoring at or above 10 rpo. yes their main aim is to get some ig/tt clips thats it. pak crickets have similar pr as that of ind players,
Bigg Brother Posted September 29, 2025 Posted September 29, 2025 They literally don't have any middle order. Just bunch of ARs. Nawaz, Faheem and skipper Agha also debuted as AR in test but somehow stopped bowling as if he is some world beater batter. Rauf, Nawaz are proven failures who keep getting chances. They are associate level team at best.

Shaheen is the only quality cricketer they have. Abrar will be found out soon. They don’t use him well and he is a choker but I think Md. Nawaz is a decent loi cricketer. Saim Ayub has some potential. Seen him in Australia but these guys don’t evolve to the next step. Abhishek, Tilak. Riyan Parag looked very average at junior level even though they had some spark obviously. look at them today. Jaiswal- Gill looked a notch above right from the start. They are now poster boys. So all Indian talent take the next step. Pak talent doesn’t evolve or even devolves.

Think in this team only fakkar's SR is 133 and there is another Hasan Nawaz who has 160+ SR but he has not played much and only scored in 1 match vs NZ (b/c team) and some match Bd.

Also they don't have superior batting technique like Indians have. But back then they use to play county and hone their skills. Nowadays they just play T20 leagues. T20 leagues will ruin technique of youngsters. Edited September 29, 2025 by vvvslaxman maniac 1
Vilander Posted September 29, 2025 Posted September 29, 2025 They seem to want a very quick gratification. Take 3 wickets in a game become legend and be Imran Khan etc. . It's sad.

Nt abt. talking talent to next level, none of these guys come from proper system. they just scored some runs here/there (club or some talent hunt) and gets into PSL. have 1-2 good innings and gets into Pak team. These days its easy to have super start but once found out its difficult to come-back. And specially when they didnt come from a system. Bowling can work this way if you have intial talent you can improve on the job. but batting is v.different these days, if not updating as a batter they are regressing. maniac and rollingstoned 1 1

I think Shaheen came from a proper u-19 pathway. Think same with Babar Azam and Saim Ayub. Rest all are mostly tepiyas and Ramzan league cricketers. Naseem Shah is also alright. rollingstoned 1
Number Posted September 29, 2025 Posted September 29, 2025 They needed one of the guys to play anchor when Fakhar got out.

Yes Shaheen and babar played u19 and came through the system, do not think ayub was in any pak u19 team , he got into QG team and then score some runs in domestic and then CPL Is Ayub a good talent and a batter yes. but he is way behind modern day t20i batter , his best format is Odis and he is not leap and bounces a head, For other teams he may be considered as 2nd tier player. maniac 1

That's why he wanted to do a similar yorker. That "celebration" by Bumrah helped us out haha. nevada 1

Might come through u19 but their infra is nothing compared to ours. Indian players evolve extremely fast and become good really soon before becoming world class by late 20s-early 30s.
Gollum Posted September 29, 2025 Posted September 29, 2025 They don't seem to be intelligent. Not good problem solvers, guys like Misbah, YK, Rana Naved, Hafeez, Malik, Butt, Amir, Asif had brains (even if of the crooked kind in some of them)....only Rizwan has some street smartness among their current lot, rest are paindus.

Indian players evolve like anything before reaching super saiyan mode in their early 30s.
