To my mind, it's interesting to note how much Aditya was absorbed into understanding the world he was creating. Like the protagonist, we were transported into that world. And anti India is not the centre piece for these characters. It's their internal power struggle. Which is an interesting way of looking at things. And right way imo.

Pin drop silence from the Bollywood ecosystem. Only Madhur Bhandarkar, Sujoy Ghosh (Kahaani director) and Sid Anand have come out in praise of the movie and Dhar/Ranveer.

 

In fact, there is a sudden increase in negative PR around the movie. Even that filmfare guy (Pillai something) has started taking shots at Ranveer for no reason.

Awesome movie. Made me really sad overall seeing how ineffectual our country is at handling things. Bloody bureaucracy and political class man. I hope karma really catches up to the guys who sell out the country. 

 

I'm guessing the politico and his son who sold the rupee plates and made sure that we are using the same supplier of paper for our currency as Pakistan was Chidabaram and Karti?

Yes. 

 

Also loved the bit with the Dulat (RAW chief during Vajpayee years) lookalike in the first chapter. So many traitors we had in positions of power/authority.

Was it Sanyal (Madhavan) who said we can infiltrate Karachi mafia but not UP mafia, pretty sure that was a dig at Mulayam Singh Yadav and his party who were in cahoots with so many dons and anti-India elements...SP's Mumbai boss (Abu Azmi) used to be a frontman for Dawood earlier. Also how fake currency makes its way into India from Qatar to Nepal and then UP.  

 

Have to watch it again, so many leads, and nods to real life people.

Same here. They have mapped the details meticulously and some Karachi origin guys who have watched the movie endorsed the detailing and authenticity, including the hoardings in the shops, posters, local traffic. Even the lingo/accent they use in the movie. 

 

Dhar may have taken his time to come up with his next project after Uri but boy has he done his research.

I believe this will be big in Pakistan. And many of the non pretentious local junta will own it. We don't understand the mindset of the region. What we consider as an abuse is a compliment to them. They want to see themselves in this manner. What we will feel embarrassed about they will brag. 

 

What would be the ultimate achievement in propoganda is showing rise of PTI and imran. I really hope this happens. All this helps drive the wedge which we need to drive. Lyari was also a wedge. Don't need thousand cuts. 5 Good ones are enough.

Bruhh...this is great analysis of Pakistani spirit. You do observe and analyze things so well.

I felt more and more despondent as the movie went on. It was depressing to see how badly we have handled the Pak threat. 

 

Forget Pak threat. We can't even handle the pollution threat that has turned Delhi into a gas chamber. Our great bureaucracy and politicians cannot even find the will to fight something that directly affects them and their families on a daily basis. How we survive as a nation is a miracle on a daily basis.

Has that stopped though? I don't think that has been stopped. I think WB and Kerala are the new fronts there - along with the NE. Christian drug lords are doing that work for the CCP and ISI now.
