goose Posted January 7 Posted January 7 i dont see why this movie isnt fit for international consumption once it hits netlix. add some subtitles, and let the music and action do the rest. no dubbing needed.

Pushpa 2 made close to 1800 crores in India in all languages.. Dehat is still king in India There are also lot of "unaccounted" collections for pushpa 2. From Villages and tier 4 city single screen theaters of Hindi hinterland. it's reach was monstrous.

One thing is for sure. Durandhar proved that you can have a blockbuster in a format other than masala. Through the sheer power of multiplex audiences across the country. I have a feeling that it will have a great reception in netflix.
vayuu1 Posted January 8 Posted January 8 Some are saying toxic will hold against dhurandhar 2 since it has yash but after seeing the teaser of toxic i have a feeling its pretty similar to kgf with over the top action it might do well in Karnataka but I have a feeling dhurandhar will win this contest coz 1) the euphoria of dhurandhar part 1 will be there when it releases on Netflix once it ends part 2 will come just in time 2) dhurandhar looks more content driven plus public is eager to know how hamza takes revenge from major Iqbal and most importantly bade saab 3) Yash may be a bigger star but ranvir certainly is a better actor and time and time again he has proven that 4) in dhurandhar part 2 other characters ( danish poddar,r madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay dutt and above all rakesh bedi willl have more chance to shine) Last and most importantly i trust Aditya Dhar and shashwat sachdev

Was talking about quality of his direction and writing at his peak. Maybe its us who can't seperate views when judging him or anyone in current age. Not sure which of his movies shows his views but hes appreciated Dhar despite different ideology. I guess even to push one's views you need quality like Dhar and previously AK
Gollum Posted January 8 Posted January 8 Usually don't agree with his reviews but Pratik is spot on here. Had high regards for Sriram Raghavan before, what a letdown.

Some of the family members of the founders went to Pak after the partition. And started a Pakistani version of Hamdard. During my childhood, Rooh Afza was given to travellers/post men/ guests after they came home from a hot day outside. Also Rooh Afza was used to break fasts during Ramazan. Now it’s been totally replaced by far healthier alternatives. Or at least not as unhealthy alternatives. Fun fact, one of the owners of Rooh Afza had a home ( ie a stand alone villa) somewhere between Mohd Ali Road and Chor bazaar, behind Bohri mohalla, not very far from where Faiz Ahmed Faiz had rented his home. That family was constantly harassed and D Company attempted to extort money from them but the legend is that the never gave in. That entire lane has been redeveloped now. coffee_rules and ravishingravi 2
